However, I was disappointed that it took such a long time for the swelling to go down before the result became visible. The clinic advertisements made it seem like you could see a big change in just two weeks, but in my case it took about five months before visible results appeared. In fact, at the two-week mark, the swelling was so severe that people around me said I looked like I had gained even more weight. In the end, the surgery went well with no side effects.
