Doctor Jo Gil-hwan was very kind, but not the warm, affectionate type. Still, I liked that he spoke honestly. As I went around to different places, I felt like I was getting a better understanding of my nose, so rather than only going to hospitals that say nice things in a roundabout way, I think it would be good to visit places that at least honestly tell you about your nose during the consultation. My nose is a high bulbous nose, and fortunately the tip is not fat tissue but large Western-type cartilage, according to the doctors I consulted with. They said my skin isn’t thin, but it isn’t extremely thick either. When I first went in and they looked at my nose and then at my whole face, they said I was pretty and asked why I wanted nose surgery, whether I was going to become a celebrity, so I started off feeling pretty good. Once I explained my concerns about my nose, they explained in detail the different directions, surgical methods, and what would happen with each procedure. They also showed me photos of patients with similar conditions on a secondary monitor and explained well how they changed, which I appreciated. They also explained well why I wasn’t satisfied with my face, giving reasons. As I said before, I prefer hearing the truth over lying and only saying nice things, so it wasn’t bad to learn more about my face. But after reading other consultation reviews, it seems some people were upset. The tone can be a bit rough, so that may have contributed to it! Still, this is one of the doctors who gave the most thorough consultation.
