Ah... before I went to the consultation, I saw someone give it 1 star and thought, what on earth are they talking about, why are they so upset by themselves? The other reviews weren't that bad, so I thought it would be okay, but I really came back from one of the worst hospitals I've ever been to feeling completely ruined... I've been to four places so far, and this was by far the most irritating, so this isn't a judgment based on this one hospital alone. I went for a consultation about nose revision surgery. First of all, leaving the shape aside, the tip of my nose hurt so much that I went. I'm taking antibiotics, and from my perspective it's serious, and at other hospitals I was told the Medpor used for support seemed to be causing the problem, and that even the silicone tip could be an issue, so surgery would probably be needed anyway, though the approach differed by hospital, or that it didn't seem to be time yet, but if it kept causing problems, it would have to be done. But the doctor here delivers the same message in a way that makes people feel terrible. First, they said the fact that I'm in pain is only my subjective feeling? Since it doesn't look severely swollen on the outside, there is no pus, and no implant like silicone or Medpor is protruding, it just means my pain is only a subjective feeling. They can't judge it as an objective problem. And they said they themselves used Medpor in the past, but now they often do removal surgery too, and that there is no guarantee Medpor itself will definitely cause problems. When I said that I hadn't known Medpor would be used for my first surgery because they never told me, and that when I asked the hospital that performed the surgery this time, they told me they had used it, I was treated as if I were a patient who had come now wanting it removed because I felt uneasy about Medpor, and as if I were some patient making a big fuss over a minor issue because I said it hurt... I only wanted to solve the pain, whether it was Medpor or silicone or whatever. Because it keeps hurting and the inside of my nose seems to be getting worse, (even if it doesn't show on the outside, if I keep hurting so much that I can't even laugh, that's not normal, right?) I just came to solve that problem. But when I said I wasn't insisting that Medpor was definitely the problem, just that it hurt and felt tight and I wanted to solve the problem no matter what it was, they said that when people get older, there are many patients who just remove all the implants, and showed me patients who had removal surgery, then said we should use MegaDerm because the bone might be carved down strangely... If the implant is bothering me and I want it removed, MegaDerm also doesn't have a 0% chance of side effects, so why suggest it...? Of course it can help with unevenness, but it felt like we just couldn't communicate. Lastly, my columella is slightly rotated, and in another hospital's CT result, the silicone was also inserted to the side, so I asked whether that could be causing the problem, and they said everyone's face is asymmetric to that extent... I was at a loss for words. Of course I know my own face is asymmetric too, but then I thought they would say it's not because of that, but rather because of some other reason I'm hurting now, and that although they would need to open it to know for sure, it seems to be a problem for reasons like this, so this is what needs to be fixed. Something like that. Instead, it felt like they were making me out to be a patient who is just making a fuss over a little cartilage showing near the nose, while my pain is just my own personal feeling. It felt like going to the hospital with terrible stomach pain, getting a CT scan of the abdomen, and being sent home with, 'There is no problem. The pain is just a subjective suffering felt by the patient.' ... It was so absurd that I didn't even want to think about it. The head manager was extremely kind and friendly. But because the director was like that, it was to the point that I regretted going.
