I am a man who just turned 40, and while I was bothered by sagging eyelids, bulging under-eye fat, and nasolabial folds, I recently had some free time, so after searching for several plastic surgery clinics using YouTube, online websites, and apps like Modoodoc and Good Doc, I decided to get consultations at two final places and proceeded with them. 1. Cheongdam B.I. Clinic There are two doctors, but it seems like the other one focuses on dermatology procedures, and the chief doctor appears to be in charge of plastic surgery, so it does not seem to be a large hospital. On YouTube, the doctor seemed like he would be very kind and give a very detailed consultation, but in the actual consultation, he seemed tired and the consultation was short. For my eyes, he recommended incision double eyelid surgery, and I also asked about surgery for a bulbous nose, but he said he would not recommend surgery because the septum is crooked (correcting the bulbous nose could make the crookedness more noticeable), and I asked about paranasal surgery because of my nasolabial folds, and he said that should be fine even if I had it done. But when I asked whether the implant would move after paranasal surgery, he said it could move.. Since it was my first plastic surgery consultation, I did not get to ask all the questions I had prepared and finished with a short consultation, and although I was a little disappointed by how much he focused on the conclusion and kept it brief, I figured he was busy, so I left a surgery deposit for now. 2. Apgujeong Plastic Surgery Clinic After the consultation at B.I. Clinic, I visited this place based only on user satisfaction in apps and such, without detailed information about the doctor, but the doctor's background was excellent and the consultation was very detailed. He said my under-eye fat redistribution was not necessary because my condition was not severe, so it would not show much even if I did it, and that for my eyes, incision double eyelid surgery would likely be enough, and he did not recommend any surgery that uses implants (such as paranasal augmentation). This place is also not a large hospital, and it is run with a small staff. In any case, after consulting at both places, neither pushed unnecessary surgery or procedures, but I was concerned that the Cheongdam doctor was not a board-certified plastic surgeon and looked too tired, so because of the more detailed consultation and background, I ultimately decided to have the surgery at Apgujeong Plastic Surgery Clinic, where I felt more trust, and went ahead. It has been 8 days since the surgery, and I am very satisfied.~ I am looking forward to about two months from now, when the swelling will be completely gone and everything settles in.
