Eye Surgery review at Byu (뷰) · 2021-04-12

I had buried double-eyelid correction + back and lower canthoplasty. I chose Kim Jeong-min because I knew he had many cases of non-incisional double-eyelid surgery, and he seemed to operate very naturally. In the end, it came out so natural that even if you look closely, you can barely tell I had surgery. I recommend him to people who really want a natural result. The back and lower canthoplasty did not reattach, which was good, but personally I think a pointed outer eye corner shape is what looks natural, and because this line is rounder, people who know about these things will probably be able to tell I had back and lower canthoplasty, which is disappointing. From here on, these are my complaints. On the day of surgery, the design time was too short, and looking at the design drawn with the pen, I felt the thickness and design of the line were different on each side. But my left and right eye size and opening strength were asymmetric, so I thought they must have intentionally done it that way and would take care of it, so I went into surgery, but it just ended up being uneven. The thickness and line of the double eyelids are different on both sides. My eye size is still uneven too It is not a huge difference, though, and other people cannot really notice it, so that is fine. The problem is that before even a year had passed, the front part of one eyelid line loosened a little. It kept loosening and then coming back, so I thought it might fully come undone soon and requested aftercare, but when I visited the hospital, they refused aftercare, saying I still had a double eyelid so it had not actually loosened yet. At the first consultation, the coordinator had said the aftercare period was 2 years, and even though I came before 2 years had passed, I could not understand why they would not do it. In the end, a few months later, the front line completely loosened, and only the back line was barely holding on. At the first consultation, the coordinator said even aesthetic dissatisfaction would qualify for aftercare, so hearing that, I chose this hospital even though it was more expensive than others, but I was shocked by how suddenly the coordinator's attitude changed when I went to request aftercare. I expected they would not be very welcoming, but during the consultation they did not even listen to what I had to say until the end, cut me off in the middle, and only said what they wanted to say. (When I said they had told me even aesthetic dissatisfaction would be covered, but now they were refusing aftercare, they changed their story and said aesthetic dissatisfaction is not eligible for aftercare, and even recommended additional epicanthoplasty, telling me to come back if I wanted that. I was really speechless after hearing that... Still, I thought I should at least consult with the director, so I did, but the director also said it had not loosened yet and refused aftercare.) And by the third year, the double eyelids on both eyes had completely loosened. My eyes went all the way back to how they were before surgery. The consultation coordinator was unbelievably kind before surgery, saying she would take good care of me, but on the day of surgery, after I signed the consent forms and went through payment, she was nowhere to be seen. A coordinator I had never seen before explained the surgery to me, I went into the operating room, and even when I came back to check the progress after surgery, I never saw her once. I guess as long as they book the appointment, that is the end of it. I really want to tell people to avoid that consultation coordinator, but I forgot her name so I cannot say it..
