Even though it was my first surgery, they recommended autologous costal cartilage. I didn’t have a low nose from birth and wanted ear cartilage or septal cartilage, but they kept pushing costal cartilage, saying I would definitely come back for revision surgery and that I should make this first surgery my last. My nose is a short upturned nose with a high bridge, and the other parts are sunken, so even if it were raised it would clearly ruin the balance, yet they still recommended autologous costal cartilage and also suggested a chin implant together. It felt like they were treating me as a means to make money, so I only had the consultation and left.
