They said I’d need double-fold surgery, and because there wasn’t much extra eyelid tissue, the chance of improving the mucosal eversion was 50%. They said it was a bit hard to go into surgery relying only on that 50%, but that they would try their best I felt pretty hopeless there.. Although both eyes were uneven, one side was much worse, so I said that if they couldn’t match both sides, I wanted at least one side done. They said both sides had to be done because of an issue with muscle control, and that double-fold surgery could leave a scar, but it would be the kind you wouldn’t notice unless you looked closely.
