Eye Surgery Reviews

On my third revision eyelid surgery, I finally got a natural in-out line (recovery process included)

Reason I got revision eyelid surgery -> Ever since I was young, I preferred eyes where the eyelid line was clearly visible from the front, whether I had makeup on or opened my eyes wide. So 10 years ago, I begged my mom and got double eyelid surgery with the buried suture method, but it failed.. They told me to pay for revision surgery myself So I really saved money bit by bit and tried again with the buried suture method, but it loosened Since it kept loosening whenever I did non-incisional surgery, I started wondering if incision was the answer for my eyes... So I went around for consultations at clinics known for incision surgery, but somehow I didn’t get the diagnosis I wanted, and some places even suggested raising the line dramatically and making it totally glamorous, so I realized finding a clinic really isn’t easy On top of that, I also had protruding fat under my eyes, so I looked super tired, but some places didn’t mention that at all and just said it would be enough to simply remake the double eyelid line, so I was half giving up... Then a friend recommended the clinic where she had surgery, so I went there for a consultation, thinking this would truly be my last attempt Consultation -> First of all, the director was kind, but since this was revision surgery, I didn’t decide based on that alone. During the consultation, they listened in detail to what direction I wanted to change with revision surgery and explained one by one what surgical methods would be used to improve each part, which was much more helpful than I expected. Above all, this was also the place that tried the hardest to match my requests as much as possible.. Since I was already doing surgery, I also wanted to do canthoplasty and make my eyes noticeably bigger, but the director said my eyes were not completely unsuitable for canthoplasty, but if it was done excessively, it could cause functional discomfort, so they did not recommend overdoing it. They directly mentioned and explained the possible side effects of canthoplasty too, so I felt like I came to my senses and stopped being greedy..? Out of all the places I had been to, I liked this consultation the most, so I decided to have surgery! After coming back, I searched the app and looked at reviews too, and since there were many revision surgery reviews, I felt reassured. Surgery -> I got incisional double eyelid surgery + ptosis correction + medial, upper, lateral, and lower canthoplasty + under-eye fat repositioning together It was my third surgery, but I did quite a lot... (with the mindset that this really had to be the last time...) Maybe that’s why, if you look at day 3, the swelling + bruising was really severe… My family was shocked, and when I woke up in the morning and looked in the mirror, I was shocked too^^ The double eyelid line was one thing, but I think the bruising came up even more because of the under-eye fat repositioning. When I had the buried suture method before, it wasn’t this bad.. Still, plastic surgery is all about waiting it out, so I held on... From around week 1, the bruising gradually started to fade, and by week 2, the line that had looked overwhelming had gone down slightly as the swelling reduced, so it looked okay. Even then, opening and closing my eyes still felt heavy, but the line didn’t look asymmetric, and above all, it was settling into the in-out line I wanted, so my expectations grew even more At one month, people around me did compliment me, saying the double eyelid surgery turned out well and the canthoplasty looked really natural, but the point where I truly felt satisfied was from month two!!! By then, the minor swelling had completely gone down, so I loved that the line didn’t look overwhelming Above all, it was so, so comfortable when opening my eyes!! This time I did incision, and it was my third time touching my eyes, so I was really anxious that it might fail, but I honestly think the incisional line turned out really well for this level... This revision surgery did cost quite a lot, but I have no regrets!! Even if I went back, I’d definitely do it again.
