Since I went through with nose surgery because I wanted to look pretty, during my first surgery I naturally checked everything, including the director’s surgical experience and whether they were a board-certified plastic surgeon. But despite that, my nose became shorter and crooked, and I ended up with contracture, so it was really emotionally difficult. Because I had already been told that my first surgery was difficult, I couldn’t even imagine how difficult it would be if contracture had developed.
For my revision surgery, I used autologous costal cartilage, and at the hospital they first checked whether it could be used through a costal cartilage examination machine. Since my rib cartilage was usable, we decided to use the upper rib cartilage (6th rib) and support the nasal tip with it. I also had septal reconstruction and nasolabial angle correction done together. I received an autologous costal cartilage certificate, and I still have it carefully kept at home. I hope I never need to use it...
My nose has come down much more than before and the nasal tip looks more refined, but I feel like the remaining swelling is not going down well. It’s frustrating, but I feel like it’s gradually improving little by little, so I’m trying to be patient. Patience is essential...
As for the hospital, if I had any discomfort, they scheduled me right away and took care of it quickly, so there were no issues with communication. However, it was a little inconvenient that there was always at least a short wait whenever I went. If the nose shape had looked strange, I think I would have been pretty annoyed. That’s all~~ ^^
