In the photos, the top two are my original eyes.. When I wake up in the morning, my eyes look like the very top photo, with no crease at all, but if I roughly make a line with my hand, they can turn into inner double eyelids, so I used to make the line and go around like that. But lately, maybe because my eyes have been swelling, they kept becoming monolids, so I decided to get surgery. When I drank alcohol or when it got to evening, they would become monolids again, and it was so stressful… My original eyes were puffy, but I didn’t have much of an epicanthal fold.
I chose this clinic because the director gave a good consultation. He explained my eye structure and drew the maximum double-eyelid height he could create for me. And he said my eyes were already opened up well, so he didn’t recommend any canthoplasty!! ((He used a lot of dialect lol)) I decided to do only partial incision and fat removal + During surgery, the consultant and the other staff members were neither particularly kind nor unkind.
I was worried it might be expensive, but the price was about 2/3 of the first clinic where I got an estimate, so it was pretty okay.
Honestly, there were a lot of private comments, and he didn’t seem to have a very long history of double-eyelid surgery, so I was really worried Still, he had trained in plastic surgery and had worked at another clinic too, so I trusted him.
First of all, the look I wanted was: absolutely no sharp/fierce impression, but still visibly having double eyelids, and making my eyes look bigger.
I’m satisfied with the result!! He designed the lines very carefully too. It’s only day 7, but because I made an effort, the swelling has gone down a lot. The photos below are from the day of surgery and day 2. My recovery was good enough that I worked a full-time part-time shift on day 3 (they did tease me a lot, saying I had fake eyes). Around day 5, the swelling went down sharply, and after getting the stitches removed today, it went down even more within just a few hours.
Also, my friend told me my eyes definitely got bigger!! But my older sister says they look too flashy (The line is low, so I don’t know why she says that..) Now I don’t have to worry every day about whether my double eyelid crease will form today, and I don’t have to worry about becoming monolidded when I drink alcohol. I’m so happy.. I should’ve done it earlier..!!!!!!!!! I think it may have turned out better because what I wanted wasn’t too much: no stress about inner double eyelids coming undone, eyelashes not poking my eyes, a natural look, and things like that.
