I went to Seoul for 2 days and 1 night and had consultations at a total of 6 clinics I narrowed them down based on recommendations from acquaintances and reviews I booked through a Barbie Talk event reservation, and I’ll note the actual estimate as the event price, under the condition of writing a review

The consultation with Manager Jang was very long, and she explained things in such detail that I thought, this consultation is longer than I expected Compared to that, I only got to meet the doctor briefly, but it was my first consultation, so I think I was kind of flustered myself and left So honestly, I didn’t even get the chance to feel whether I liked it or not.. I think I came away thinking my nose has more to fix than I expected.

I still don’t know the name of the consultation manager, but she talked while smiling with a friendly younger-sibling vibe, and I liked that it didn’t feel fake Before the consultation, just from photos, I thought Director Ryu would be very blunt and cool But he was kind of funny, and I think he had a bit of a tsundere vibe too The consultation felt more comfortable than I expected I got the impression they would take good care of me Honestly, I did think I wanted to book right away here, but how could I decide on a second consultation to have revision surgery after 10 years? I pulled myself together and thought, please don’t go acting like you know nothing, and told them I’d like to get more consultations at the places I already booked As I left, I think I was humming happily Honestly, I think I was telling myself, “I should do it here~”

This is where a close friend of mine had surgery, and it was a place they recommended My friend’s surgery went well, and the clinic communicated really well and took good care of patients afterward, so I was curious about it The doctor looked at the CT and explained, very carefully and in detail, the style and surgical method that would suit me However, I felt a sense of resistance toward unexpected autologous dermis grafting or autologous rib cartilage Of course they’re good materials, but when I thought about the wounds and pain increasing, I must have unconsciously gone, ugh But I know that using all of that would probably be best Still, for me, who wanted the maximum result with the minimum amount, it felt like too much And the estimate was quite high too, so I felt disappointed Before coming up to Seoul, I had wanted to do it here I think the estimate was that high because that much material would be used Anyway, since it’s a single-doctor clinic specializing in noses, it felt quite trustworthy, and the consultation manager was kind too, so overall it was good

When I went into the clinic, I got the feeling at the front desk like they had been waiting just for me The doctor put the photos up on the monitor and explained them, and as expected from a nose specialist, the consultation was thorough and professional He seemed a bit tired, but he still consulted quite sincerely, and it was a satisfying consultation Since I didn’t get a CT, I did wonder if he wouldn’t know that my nasal septum is severely deviated inside
At the end, when I talked with the consultation manager, she said that since you only really know after opening the nose, CT isn’t that important Of course it’s most accurate once they open it up, but I think the consultation should be more detailed so they can give a more accurate estimate That’s just my own guess I didn’t really feel like they were especially kind during the consultation It was just average, and maybe because the appointment was at 6 p.m., I also got the feeling they wanted to leave quickly..... that’s just my feeling too When I decide where to have surgery, I think both the doctor’s consultation and the manager’s consultation matter The doctor shows surgical skill, while the consultation manager shows whether they’ll take good care of me after surgery Anyway, I took this place off my list right after visiting

I arrived 20 minutes before my appointment, but I waited more than 30 minutes past the appointment time It was a weekday, but there were a lot of people They said they’d take a CT, so I followed them in and they told me not to move, so I stayed still, but even after it was over, they didn’t say anything for a long time, so I was like, what is this? and kept waiting In the end, when I went out, everyone was doing their own thing, so I ended up coming out alone and sitting there As soon as I went into Director Choi’s consultation, he said he’d explain quickly, and I felt rushed, so I couldn’t get a proper consultation and that was disappointing The consultation manager said Director Do was Director Choi’s protégé and was extremely meticulous, and that she had even booked her own revision nose surgery there, so I asked to be connected with Director Do again and waited a bit longer before consulting with him Then I understood why the manager had said that Even though it was a short consultation, he sincerely looked closely at my face and listened, and anyway, I got a good feeling from it, so I thought that if I were to do it here, I’d want Director Do to do it Still, I did think they were so busy that it would probably be hard to see both of them after surgery Oh, and they said it costs 100,000 won to view the CCTV footage~

The clinic is in a basement, but it looks huge and very clean Like a newly opened clinic The manager looked tough, but was kind I had a fairly long consultation with the doctor It was a relaxed atmosphere, like talking to a friendly uncle, and among all the places I consulted, this one used the fewest materials for surgery They removed the silicone and didn’t use ear cartilage either.. So I got the feeling my nose would somehow become really clean Even after I showed the photo of the nose shape I wanted, when they said that could be done, of course that felt good to me But I’d been told at the other clinics that my nose wasn’t even that difficult of a nose Yet the estimate came out so expensive that I couldn’t even imagine it And at the other clinics, they all said silicone should at least be added with a 1~2 mm thin layer to make it pretty, but I honestly don’t know what it would look like if it were removed completely.. I was surprised that the estimate was the highest even though they used the minimum materials!

After going around all six places like this, before heading back down I made up my mind about where to do it, paid the deposit, and set the surgery date for next Tuesday All the searching, clinic visits, and the surgery itself, all of it happened within one week I’m nervous, and I pray that my choice is the right one!
