It has been 2 years since I had 230-degree cheekbone surgery + 45-degree shaving at ㅇㅊ. I saw an effect from the side, but I’m not seeing an effect from the front. The side protrusion did decrease overall by a tiny bit? But somehow the side protrusion is still there. It’s hard to explain (The pins and the remaining posterior cheekbone definitely protrude.....)
Since it was a 230-degree surgery, I wondered if maybe that’s why there wasn’t much effect, so I went back to ㅇㅊ, where I had the surgery, for a consultation about revision 3D cheekbone surgery. I was told that even now, the lateral cheekbone has already been moved in as much as it can be, and that even if I have 3D cheekbone surgery, the result would be the same. (They said the lateral cheekbone was completely osteotomized and moved all the way in to match the posterior cheekbone; I also saw the X-ray.)
I went hoping to hear that my cheekbones could be made smaller with revision surgery, but I didn’t hear anything like that. (For reference, I could go to a place that is better than this hospital for revision surgery... but thinking about it again, if I get revision surgery with the standard cheekbone procedure, I’d need general anesthesia again, plus osteotomy and dissection of the front cheek and side, so I really don’t have the confidence. I gave up on that and decided to do posterior cheekbone shaving here.)
So I said I at least wanted to shave the protruding pins on the side and the posterior cheekbone, and they said it was possible and that the protruding area would become a little smoother. So I only booked pin removal + posterior cheekbone shaving.
After coming home and thinking about it, I keep wondering if I should have added 45-degree shaving too. If I do 45-degree shaving this time, it would be my second time having 45-degree shaving.
Should I not get greedy about 45-degree shaving??? Since I’m already having surgery, I keep thinking I want to do more while I’m at it
(I am experiencing side effects after 230-degree cheekbone surgery. Current side effects I’m experiencing) 1. When I blink, only the left side next to my nose caves in. (I asked at another plastic surgery clinic, and they said it was a side effect of cheekbone surgery.) 2. My eyelids have sagged overall, making my double eyelids thinner. 3. Overall facial sagging. 4. Even if I gain just a little facial fat or swell just a little, my face looks extremely big. 5. When I’m tired, the area near the pin on the lateral cheekbone aches. 6. When I sleep on my side and my lateral cheekbone gets pressed, the pin area hurts.
