✡️ Concerns before surgery As I entered my 30s and lost facial fat, my face was already on the long side, but even my cheekbones started to look more prominent. My impression looked a bit strong, and people around me often said I looked tired, so it was quietly stressful. I looked into various procedures, but they didn’t feel like a fundamental solution, so I eventually made up my mind to go the surgical route. I had consultations at two hospitals, and they both said that rather than only reducing the cheekbones, it was more important to reduce the length of the face itself, so after thinking it over, I decided to get the three facial contouring procedures.
✡️ Changes after surgery The biggest change after surgery is that when I look in the mirror, the flaws I used to notice first are almost no longer visible. This has honestly been really good for my mental health. People around me also often say I look younger, and even though it’s not like I lost 5 kg from dieting(?), hearing that makes me feel that way for no reason too. Before, there were styles I couldn’t try because I worried they wouldn’t suit me, but now I just give them a try. It’s not that I became noticeably prettier all of a sudden; it’s more that the points that had stressed me out for so long improved, and I think that can feel really huge for the person themselves.
✡️ Things to consider before surgery What I want to say to people considering surgery is that the director’s aesthetic preference is really important!!!! Among well-known hospitals, I didn’t feel like the techniques or methods were extremely different, and in the end, it seemed like the director’s sense of aesthetics plays a big role in the result. Even if patients bring in photos of what they want, the director is ultimately the one interpreting them. I chose this clinic because its style, which pursues a more classic facial contour rather than trendy styles these days, suited me well, and I think that had quite a big impact on my satisfaction. I also liked that the waiting time was short and that the consultation was really thorough.
