It was definitely a major surgery, so recovery time had to be seriously considered. (I currently live in Canada, so I was wondering if I could leave enough recovery time and come to Korea. That was my biggest worry.) The cost burden also made it hard to make a decision easily... After hesitating for such a long time, my older sister recommended Fore. My sister had had breast surgery at another hospital before and had recently been considering a revision. She told me that if she chose to redo it, she would definitely do it at Fore, so I started searching for Fore carefully through reviews. My breasts were truly small—between AA and AAA (not an exaggeration at all!). What I wanted was not a large size, only the feeling that 'I have a chest.' Even after returning to Canada, I kept consulting over KakaoTalk while adjusting to the time difference. And as soon as I arrived in Korea, we decided to do the surgery immediately. Yet when the day before surgery arrived, I got very nervous. "Was this the right choice? What if it shows? Is this a suitable case for me to operate on?" I kept thinking those thoughts. But after my final consultation with Director Kim the day before, all those worries disappeared. She understood my desired direction so well, and when she showed results where she had made similar cases perfectly and naturally, I trusted her deeply. So on surgery day, excitement was much bigger than fear. Before going into the operating room, the director designed my breast shape. It felt like talking to a surgeon who is also an artist. After that, entering the operating room felt even more exciting. And then, when the surgery was finally over and I lay in the recovery room... surprisingly, there was no pain. I only had that heavy, stone-like pressure on my chest, and I thought, "Maybe anesthesia hasn’t fully worn off yet." Instead, the only difficult part was a brief nauseous feeling after general anesthesia; other than that, there was no pain. I remember thinking, "So it can be this painless!" Honestly, I worried that once the effects of anesthesia and pain medication wore off at home, it would start hurting. But even at home, I really did not feel any pain at all. The next day, when I came back to check my condition, I asked the surgeon, "Is it normal to have so little pain?" She said that because only the necessary areas were separated precisely, pain is minimal. Hearing that, I really thought, "Ah, I made the right choice getting operated on by this doctor." Really... to make the chest this beautiful, and yet with no pain... I truly feel how important it is to have surgery at a clinic that performs it well. It hits home deeply. I took 2 weeks off work and came to Korea, but with a whole day taken by flight time and the huge time difference, I had to spend about a day adjusting. So I was very worried my recovery time would be too short... But since there was almost no pain from the first day, I wasn’t worried about my return date to Canada anymore. Of course there is still a feeling like something heavy is on my chest, but I still have no true painful discomfort. Around day 3 after surgery, some swelling came up and there was mild stiffness and discomfort, but from the next day it became fine again... Even my family said, "Are you really someone who had breast surgery?" Recovery was that fast! At first, I thought, "Am I someone with a surgical body type?" I rarely feel pain very well anyway, because I am usually one to fuss over pain. I’m so pain-sensitive, and I couldn’t imagine recovering this comfortably!
Today is postoperative day 7, so I went to the hospital to remove the armpit stitches. The surgeon checked my breast shape carefully again and answered all my questions one by one. Especially, she explained armpit care in great detail, which made my mind much calmer. I usually like to keep my body warm, so I often sweat a lot in my armpits... because of that, armpit sweat management worried me the most. Still, she explained in detail—from how to care for it and how to keep it that way to how to tape and how to wash—so it should be very helpful for future care. Because I can’t come to Korea often, she suggested beforehand that I send clear photos and communicate to track progress together, which made me even more reassured. She even prepared medication to take just in case inflammation or other issues occurred... Very thoughtful. It is still true that I have no pain and no inconvenience in daily life. Even without pain, perfect results still require continued focus on recovery, but the progress so far is very satisfying to me. For people like me who had no foundation, people who want breast enlargement, and especially for me after experiencing it myself, this is truly a very good clinic with strong skill and a very good surgeon.
