1-Year Review of Bulbous Nose Tip Surgery with Autologous Ear Cartilage (feat. Short Nose, Upturned Nose)

Use autologous ear cartilage (absolutely no septal cartilage - I had an acquaintance whose nose became weak after using septal cartilage, so I was too scared to use it) → Satisfied! It seemed like they did many ear cartilage surgeries. Many hospitals tried to persuade me to use septal cartilage, but here they said surgery with ear cartilage was possible and they could satisfy all my requests, so I decided to have surgery. The ear where cartilage was removed is fine; when I touch it, it feels slightly indented, but even if I touch or press it, there is no pain and it is not noticeable. 2. Raise it as much as possible (straight nose + pointed nasal tip + no pinched nose) → Average During consultation, when they explained that some soft tissue at the nasal tip would need to be removed to make the thick nasal tip thinner, I said, “Absolutely no pinched nose!” and they said that with my nose, even if they removed a certain amount, it would not become that thin, so I decided to do it lol And even after actually removing it, it is still not a slim nose,,,, I asked whether they could raise it to the level of an edited selfie, and they said it would be difficult to raise it that much with ear cartilage and it could make the nose more upturned, so I gave up on raising it sharply. Even taking that into account, I am a bit disappointed with the height. When it was first swollen, I saw the height and thought it was perfect! But as the swelling went down and it became lower, I thought it could have been slightly higher During aftercare, I asked the director whether I would need to take costal cartilage later if I wanted it higher, and he said I could have revision surgery with costal cartilage, or after a few years, take out one more ear cartilage piece and stack it. But he said what we did this time was already built up as much as possible and it could not be made higher. It is the straight nose shape I wanted, and people around me have complimented me a lot, saying if I had gone higher it would have been excessive, but it does not look obviously operated on and the line is reasonably nice, so I am somewhat satisfied but also a bit disappointed? 3. Straight nose nasal tip lengthening + make nostrils less visible → Slightly satisfied I am satisfied because the nasal tip was lengthened into a straight nose shape, but my nostrils still show 4. Be able to move the nasal tip, like making a pig nose and rubbing the nose → Satisfied For the first week, the moment my nose touched anything even slightly, it hurt like my nose would collapse, so I was extremely careful when washing my face, applying toner/lotion, and changing clothes. I did not wear glasses, and I was scared to wear a mask too, so I did not go outside. But now, I cannot move it downward, but I can slightly make a pig nose upward, move it side to side quickly, and even pick my nose a lot with no problems Still, if it gets bumped, it definitely hurts much more than before, and I still get nervous when touching my nose Overall review! Recommended if you want something “natural” and “comfortable”! Including me, most hospital reviews had many natural-looking cases, and I personally do not feel any discomfort with my nose. They clearly tell you what is possible and impossible for each request, and there is not much upselling + They recommended 2 or 3 times that it might be good to slightly shave the hump on the nasal bridge, but when I said I did not want to, they said it was just something they could do as a service. I declined because I did not want to touch the nasal bridge, but it did not feel like forced selling; it seemed like they only recommended what looked necessary to improve postoperative quality.
