When getting double eyelid surgery, you have to open and close your eyes properly, so they don't put you fully under anesthesia. It hurt so much that I cried. Instead, they did give me the result I wanted. I heard a lot that I became pretty after double eyelid surgery. But the aftercare after surgery was relatively lacking.
