I had my cheekbones done 2 years ago, and I had square-jaw surgery yesterday. If I compare the pain, they are about the same. Bone surgery itself does not hurt. But after surgery, the anesthesia lingering, lethargy, and nausea are what drive a person the craziest. I was standing on the subway, and it was so painful that I suddenly thought it would be okay even if I died in an explosion accident. And why is my mental stamina so strong? I cannot sleep. Also, my surgery was at 12, but because I had indigestion the day before, I did not eat, so I ended up fasting for more than 12 hours.
