Buried suture + lateral canthoplasty, before & surgery day~one week

(No makeup. Couldn’t wash my face. Eyes naturally open.) It has been 8 days since I had buried-suture double eyelid surgery + lateral canthoplasty. (Days 4~7 were almost all similar, so I didn’t upload photos.) For epicanthoplasty, they said my glabella distance was appropriate, so doing more would look strange, so I only had lateral canthoplasty. Today I even had the lateral canthoplasty stitches removed. The line is natural and I like it, but I’m worried whether the bulging upper eyelid area is swelling or stretched skin. It is a bit more puffy than in the photo. I have fat and my skin is on the long side, so I thought they would recommend the incisional method, but they recommended buried suture, so I had surgery that way. But if it is stretched skin covering the area, I’m worried I’ll have to go through this pain all over again~ If it’s swelling, it will go down with time, but if it’s stretched skin!!! ㅡㅜ Since a lot of fat was removed, I’m hoping it’s swelling. The lateral canthoplasty... Ahhh. It really! really!! really!!! hurt. During surgery, I guess they cut with something like a laser, because there was a sizzling sound and I could see smoke. After the anesthesia wore off, it hurt a lot, and until the stitches were removed, the thread kept rubbing against my eye, so it became bloodshot. Today, when they removed the stitches~ it really! hurt. (The double eyelid didn’t hurt at all~ afterward or when the stitches were removed.) As expected... the nurse said removing lateral canthoplasty stitches hurts the most. To endure this kind of pain just to lengthen it by 1 mm.. It is nice that it got a little bigger, but yes, pain comes with it. During surgery I had local anesthesia, and after I heard, “You’ll feel a little sleepy,” a little later it felt like I was just passing through a tunnel with light, and in a dreamy atmosphere it felt really strange. Other people say it feels like riding a roller coaster... I haven’t tried drugs, but I thought maybe this is what it would feel like if you took drugs? Passing through that dreamy tunnel and returning to the real world, seeing smoke from burning flesh, and continuing to see something like a needle moving back and forth above my eye was definitely not a pleasant experience. If I hadn’t had the simple idea that after being anesthetized and waking up, ta-da~ something would be made, it would have been hard to decide to have surgery like this. Still, I’m relieved that the line came out naturally, just as I asked the director to do. (You can’t really tell in the photos, but originally all my eyelashes were tucked under the upper eyelid area, so only a little at the ends showed. But now I can clearly see all of my eyelashes. I didn’t know well before, but my eyelashes were actually long.) And, fi.nal.ly. from tomorrow I can wash my face/wash my hair~~~~~!!!! Let’s go! --------------------------------------- I uploaded slightly more detailed photos related to the lateral canthoplasty. If you look closely at the area with the red circle, you’ll be able to see that the part that used to be filled with skin has changed to visible eyeball. It didn’t go out much to the side, but they make a rounded shape like that. (I don’t know how other places do it, but the place where I had it done did it that way.) This is just my personal opinion, but while maybe the very end of the outer corner of the eye could be an issue, I think the rounded shaped part would be hard to re-adhere. ^^ But I had a little effect, and I think it’s best to decide after discussing with your doctor whether your own eyes are the kind that can benefit from it. ---------------------------------------- I had it done at a clinic in Apgujeong-dong, Seoul.
