<My own nose> I wanted a straight-ish line with a balance of natural and glamorous at about 6:4. I had nose filler once 5 years ago and wasn’t very satisfied with it.
My nasal bridge is on the low side, and because my brow bone and forehead are flat, I wanted to avoid a flashy nose that starts very high from the glabella.
For bulbous-nose correction, my nostrils aren’t very wide, and my nostrils are too small, so I did not want nostril reduction x. I also didn’t want anything too narrow, so osteotomy X. I only wanted to correct the blunt look of the nasal tip.
Compared with my bridge, my tip is relatively high + a slight hump? Overall, it feels like a small, round saddle nose! I wanted a natural connection from the mid-bridge to the tip.

I listed the clinics in the order I consulted them. For clinics 1-3, on the first day I went in with a completely light mindset, without knowing anything about surgical methods or materials, and only looked at before-and-after photos of nose shapes! I thought, if I’m going to do it, might as well make it a bit glamorous hehe, and brought Minji’s nose photo. I also didn’t properly ask about aftercare and only checked later whether they had CCTV
For clinics 4-7, on the second day I studied all week before the consultations, found a realistic shape for my nose, and went in with the mindset of only improving the line safely! I also added places that are good at doing surgery without implants.
1. ㅁㅇㅌ (Sinnonhyeon, Director ㅂㅈㅎ) First of all, the interior was clean and had a money-scented feel. There was no waiting on a weekday morning, and since it was my first consultation I was very nervous, but both the consultant and the director were kind. But the consultant immediately started building up autologous costal cartilage as soon as she saw me, and the director also didn’t explain any options other than autologous costal cartilage! At that point I had gone in not really knowing what kinds of surgical methods existed, so there was a lot I couldn’t ask, and I didn’t even know that using autologous costal cartilage for a first surgery can be a burden. In my head I was like, if they use autologous costal cartilage it’ll be strong, so I won’t need revision surgery! lol

2. ㅂㅇㅂ (Sinnonhyeon, Director ㅇㅇㅁ) No waiting on a weekday morning. The consultant here was friendly overall too, and there was no mention of a deposit at all, so it felt relaxed. They said they would give a discount if I posted a review. The director was really nice. Even then I couldn’t ask things in detail, but he didn’t mind showing me photos and was gentle and kind. But I had never really paid attention to a hump before, and this was the first time someone mentioned it, so I was a bit startled, and at other hospitals after that they said it was a normal degree and just needed basic filing.

3. ㅍㄹㅁㅇ (Gangnam, Director ㅊㅎㅅ) There were a lot of people here during weekday lunch, so the wait was the longest.. It was crowded and chaotic, with a very factory-like feel from all the going up and down. The consultation itself was the shortest, but the wait was the longest, and it drained me. The consultant had the typical sales-style friendliness + hurry up and get through it vibe, and from this point on I had already kind of checked out. The director just briefly explained the surgery method. He said my columella was too recessed, so I needed short-nose correction. I’m not a really upturned or short-nosed type, but my columella is relatively weak! I didn’t properly understand why he called it a short nose, but I wasn’t going to do it here anyway, so I just moved on. And he said that since I’d be putting in silicone, I should also correct the crooked nose. It is slightly crooked, but other clinics said it was only within the normal range. The price was also the highest.

4. ㅎㄷㅁㅎ (Sinsa, Director ㄱㅈㄱ) There was a slight wait on a weekday morning, and it seemed to have a lot of foreign clients! I chose the consultation because of the director’s experience and the reviews saying he was blunt and pursued natural results, and the consultant was genuinely kind, which made me feel good. But I could feel an odd sense of internal staff tension or cliquishness! The director firmly, almost scoldingly, said that if my nose wasn’t going to be done without implants, then what else could it be done with.. I was a little embarrassed. I listened carefully and earnestly, as if paying close attention to what he was saying, and said I didn’t want to raise the glabella area. He said there isn’t such a silicone, and that they would insert one that is thin on top and thicker toward the bottom, with a low starting point. He was a bit cool and sharp, but he kept holding my face and turning it this way and that, studying it carefully for a long time, and I liked that!! And the most important part!!! Since my nostrils are small, he said that if they did a procedure called excision of the fat layer surrounding the nostrils to widen them, the nostril shape would improve This was exactly the part I had been worried about, and the consultant added that this was a very advanced technique and almost only the director could do it, so for a moment I was really tempted.
Overall: He had a firm confidence from years of experience. If you ask questions without really understanding your own facial structure, you might get hurt by the facts, but he did explain things earnestly in his own way.
Since they didn’t do CT, I told the consultant at the first-day consultation about the size of my septal cartilage and how straight it was, based on the other clinic’s opinion.

5. ㅇㄱㅈㅅㅇ (Apgujeong, Director ㅊㅈㅎ) I waited 40-50 minutes here (they said they would do nose filler removal as a service because of the long wait), and they used the whole building. It seemed like this doctor was the only specialist for noses, and the columella line I most wanted improved was beautifully and volumetrically shaped, so I went for a consultation.
The consultation was delayed more than I expected, so I only had a very brief talk with the consultant and moved on because of my next appointment time. The director was really, really confident, and it felt like he empathized with and listened to what I was saying. When I showed photos, he seemed to say only good things, like it was a nose that would improve well and was a good candidate for correction. I wondered if he was just saying nice things to ease my anxiety, but the whole consultation felt good! The price was also the most reasonable.

However, the aftercare setup was a bit weak, and when I brought up CCTV, they explained that if a medical incident occurred and a report was filed, the police would take over later and it could be checked there. Hmm, were they being honest? It felt a little resistant..? I vaguely heard that they had once been on a blacklist, but I didn’t look it up myself, so it was unclear.
6. ㅊㅇ (Sinsa, Director ㅂㅇㄱ) The consultant’s first impression here was a bit bad. When I explained the direction I wanted, she seemed a little mocking.. Why don’t you want to raise the glabella? Did you go to this and that hospital? Did you hear something? She asked like that. She was still kind, but overall I felt looked down on, which was disappointing. The director looked very tired even though it was 2 p.m., but before I even spoke, he immediately caught what I wanted and recommended exactly the method I had in mind, which surprised me. He preferred implant-free surgery, and said to give up ambition and balance the columella, nasal tip, and bridge well!! He said he would use something unfamiliar called a fascia behind the ear to fill the bridge and connect the slightly protruding nasal tip and hump! For the nasal tip support, he gave two options: if I wanted to keep things modest, septal cartilage + ear cartilage; if I wanted to definitely correct the columella and the nostril septum, autologous costal cartilage.
Also, I liked that he showed me a lot of photos of patients with cases similar to mine It was appealing because the look that resembled a protruding mouth was improved a lot!
The price was more expensive than expected. Around 4 million won, including nose filler removal. There was no separate review discount, but if I paid a deposit they gave a small discount. Since the price difference wasn’t that big, I liked the director a lot, but I just didn’t book it. Also, I worried that if they filled the bridge with this behind-the-ear fascia material, it might all get absorbed.. there wasn’t much information about it either.
AS 1 year (if complications occur, anesthesia and material fees must be paid separately) Aftercare was decent, and a guardian could check the surgery through CCTV.
7. ㅍㄹㅈ (Sinnonhyeon, Director ㅅㅇㅅ) The last hospital, at long last.. (I had originally planned to go to ㄹㅁㅊ in Jamsil, but I canceled because they suddenly said the appointment time there had to be changed.) It was 5:30 in the evening.. I was so tired and wanted to go home. Still, I squeezed out my energy and asked hard, and the director also looked really tired but was calmly kind. As expected, they said I really needed to pay attention to the nostril shape and recommended a natural improvement without implants so it wouldn’t become a pinched nose. They said they would slightly refine the nasal tip with ear cartilage and slightly fill the bridge with ear cartilage.
The list price was around 3.6-3.7 million won, and there was some pressure to leave a deposit. Aftercare was also generous here, and a guardian could check during surgery through CCTV!
In the end, I decided that because of this cursed combination of bulbous nose + small nostrils, I would be dealing with many limitations and the risk of side effects, so it wasn’t a real complex for me! I wasn’t that dissatisfied with my face to begin with; I just thought I would look much prettier if I only fixed my nose, so I felt a little disappointed, but I decided that living comfortably matters more and gave up! I hope everyone thinks carefully and uses this as a reference.
