I'm older, and I don't like having a knife put to my face, but Botox has to be done often, so I made up my mind and went for it. First of all, the surgery is very simple. Like dental treatment, after they give several anesthetic injections inside the mouth, after that it's just scary but you have no sensation. Was the surgery time about 30 minutes? The actual surgery was really simple. But the swelling is no joke. When it ended and I got right up, I was a balloon. (The nurse said, "Don't be too shocked"^^) Anyway, after about 30 minutes of ice packs, I drove home. Around day 3, it swelled even more, then day by day it went down a tiny bit. I like exercising, so being at home felt like it would drive me crazy. From day 4, I wore a hat and a mask, went to the mountain, breathed good air, refreshed myself, and spent time that way. And on day 8, only the jawline below the mouth was swollen (with a slight bruise too), so I put the mask over my jawline and just went to the gym. I said I had bruising after dental treatment...^^ When you have the surgery, you need to set aside at least 15 days. For now, it seems like the jawline (when seen from the side) is forming a line, so I'm somewhat reassured. Still, they say it takes about 1 to 3 months, so I think patience will be needed. You absolutely should not believe many magazines or newspapers saying you can return to daily life after 3 days. I'm still only at 2 weeks, but I'm looking forward to one month later.
