I had buried sutures + epicanthoplasty done yesterday^^ (scroll warning;)

I already had double eyelids, but one side kept loosening too easily, so I got it done~ My inter-eye distance was wide too, so I did epicanthoplasty as well. ^^ I took advantage of this holiday and just went for it. People around me who had double-eyelid surgery kept scaring me by saying it hurt so much, but strangely I wasn’t that nervous.. I went to the hospital, took photos, had some kind of anesthetic ointment applied above my eyes, watched a bit of TV, and then got 2 injections in my butt (the nurse told me this injection would hurt more than the one in the eye~ but it really did) Then the handsome doctor kept saying, 'Close your eyes~ Open them~ Close your eyes~ Open them~' while drawing the line, and we started. My eyes are relatively long horizontally, so I had an outfold.. I got 3 anesthetic injections on each side, but even until I lay down on the operating table I wasn’t nervous, and only when I saw the syringe did I start to get a little shaky, so I held the nurse’s hand tightly while getting it, but it really hurt far less than I expected. They inject the medicine for a long time, but it was only a bit sore.. I’m most afraid of dentists in the world. I had root canal treatment when I was young, you see So I was worried because they said it hurt more than a dental anesthetic injection, but it hurt way, way less. I even pinched myself a few times at home to compare, and it seemed less painful than that! I knew they invert the eyelid when doing it, but they just placed the injections on the eyelid and the epicanthoplasty area. After the anesthesia kicked in, they must have inverted the eyelid during the surgery~ While waiting for the anesthesia to take effect, the nurse said, 'If that person gets startled during anesthesia, they get grumpy. They held up well.' The doctor was handsome, but I guess he might be a bit irritable Then the doctor came back, put drops in one by one to numb the eyeball, and the surgery started- I thought I’d have to wear surgical clothes, but it was just a headband and a blanket, and that was it. Since I was anesthetized, I really felt nothing~ They said buried sutures sometimes involve flipping the eye, so not to be surprised.. The double-eyelid part seemed to finish early, but epicanthoplasty took quite a while. During the epicanthoplasty I could hear and feel the scissors cutting the flesh at the front, with that scratch-scratch sound, but instead of feeling bad, I felt relieved and refreshed;; Even during surgery they kept saying 'Open your eyes~ Close them~' After the surgery, they took another photo, then I did about 10 minutes of ice compress in the recovery room, and went home wearing a hat and glasses~ On the way home with my mom, I even ate at a restaurant looking like that;; Everyone kept saying it hurt so much, so I worried a lot about whether I should get sedation anesthesia or what, but the surgery really didn’t hurt, which was amazing. But after the surgery, when the anesthesia wore off, I got a headache and felt a bit nauseous, which was hard;; It got better after I slept, but my eyes still feel stiff and kind of sore. Using a cold pack for ice compress made my head hurt even more.. When I look at before-and-after photos, my line seems thicker than other people’s. (Everyone says buried sutures lose all their swelling in just a week... but mine doesn’t seem to be going that way;;) Maybe because it’s an outfold.. I hope the swelling goes down quickly! Since they said I can’t exercise at night, I’m thinking of taking a walk in the cool air or something~~~ My face has become monster-like because of the swelling, but now that it’s done, I feel so incredibly relieved~~^^
