Does using costal cartilage mean cutting a bit of bone? People who had severe pain say they never want to go through it again, so I’m curious how bad the pain is. A younger friend I know also said that if they had known it would be like this, they wouldn’t have done it, and that it hurt a lot. Is it really that hard? I’m currently considering revision surgery, and I already have ear cartilage in place, but I think autologous costal cartilage will be necessary, so I’m asking.
