Anyone worried it will hurt really does not need to worry at all. People who had it done at other hospitals said it hurt because they used local anesthesia. At the hospital where I had mine done, they do local anesthesia after sleep anesthesia, so I think I was able to have surgery without any pain at all. But when the anesthesia wore off, it felt numb and sore. But this much is bearable. After the surgery, when I looked at how I looked, I was really shocked. The consultant told me not to be too surprised, but I really looked like a monster. Still, since I had heard so much about it, I brainwashed myself into thinking it must normally be like that and spent the Chuseok holiday at home. At first, it felt like the swelling was not going down at all, and the line was too thick, so I worried a lot. But.. now the swelling has gone down a lot and the line has settled beautifully, so I am really happy. I think trusting the director was such a good choice. It has not gone down completely yet, but once the swelling fully subsides, I think my eyes will become what I wanted. It went well, so these days I live each day only paying attention to the swelling going down.
