5 days after jaw surgery

I went to consultations at several places and searched the internet everywhere, then finally set a surgery date.. But as the date kept getting closer, I kept worrying so much.. I could only think about canceling it... I kept hearing only about side effects.. The days I waited felt like years... On the morning of the surgery... because my reliable boyfriend was beside me, I was less nervous than I expected.. Never go alone~ It's scary.. After changing clothes.. consulting with the chief doctor.. consulting with the anesthesiologist.. then the nurse gave me an injection, saying it was a tranquilizer.. and I felt a bit dazed..... After that, I don't remember anything..... At some point I came to slightly with this feeling like my whole face was wrapped up... and it felt extremely suffocating... then I thought the surgery must be over.... The compression bandage was so uncomfortable.. in my half-dreaming state, I begged the doctor to loosen it... I couldn't even open my eyes.. He loosened it because he felt sorry for me... but since they had wrapped the bandage tightly to stop the bleeding, the right side was horribly swollen... they said blood had pooled there.... I went back into the operating room and had the blood drained... I think I came out of the recovery room around 2 o'clock after coming to my senses... Don't make the same mistake I did~ Maybe because my stamina was weak, it took me a long time to come out of anesthesia. I kept lying down and sleeping... then sitting up and dozing off (staying lying down the whole time is hard~)... I was like that until around 5 or 6... You really need to take care of your stamina~ Originally they said I could be discharged at 5 or 6, but because of the pooled blood I was discharged early the next day... Maybe because of the painkillers, it hurt much less than I expected.. Getting up from lying down... and lying back down again were the hardest parts.... I barely slept too.... They told me to move around a lot.... and maybe because I talked so much, I felt much better the next morning... I'm worried because the right side is so much more swollen than the left.. What if it ends up uneven later...?? I have severe bruising around my mouth and even down my neck, so I absolutely can't go out without a mask... T.T.. I heard there are people as bad as me... Among the people who had surgery on the same day, nobody had bruising.. I rested at home only the day after surgery and kept going out.. I went shopping, went to the hospital, watched a movie.. maybe that's why the bruising and swelling seem to have gone down a lot. Chuseok is next week, so I wonder if by then I'll be able to go around without a mask... sigh~ Still, I'm really happy to be free from my square-jaw complex.... Even though I'm swollen, my face line is showing, so I feel really good when I tie my hair up and wear a hat.
