<When I opened my eyes with force last year> I had epicanthoplasty + non-incisional ptosis correction. Was my first surgery 8-9 years ago? I had surgery because my eye-opening strength was about 70%, but maybe because the line was set high, I ended up with sausage eyes, so after about 1-2 months I had revision surgery. When I had the revision with the line lowered a lot, around one week after surgery, other than my eyes looking a little more intense, unlike the first surgery, it really was not noticeable at all. So even I lived forgetting that I had surgery. As time passed, my eye-opening strength was okay, but my eyes became slightly uneven, so this time (pretending it was my first surgery) I had epicanthoplasty + non-incisional ptosis correction. I asked them to set the line as low as possible, but they said if it was set too low, there was a risk it could come undone, so they set it moderately low as an inner double eyelid and did the surgery. (When they marked the line before surgery, it looked okay.) But looking at the current situation, it is only day 6, but there is no major swelling, so based on experience, I do not think it will change much from here. And a side effect (lagophthalmos) has noticeably occurred, but they told me in advance that I already had a little of it from when they were marking the line right before surgery. (I did not know myself; originally I did not have it at all.) Anyway, the current line seems higher than what I had thought, and I was worried that the current shape is asymmetrical left and right, with the end of the line showing a bit more on the right. They said that as time passes it will come down, and after checking the progress later, if it is still the same, they will lower it, so they told me not to worry too much. My left eye (the one with lagophthalmos) also feels very tight, unlike the right, so it is uncomfortable, and while reading posts about lagophthalmos side effects, I am wondering if I should just undo it completely. I have a lot of different worries and concerns How does it look to you? The photo with stitches at the inner corners of the eyes was taken right after surgery, and the one without stitches was taken today immediately after removal.
