Today marks exactly day 3 after surgery. There’s still swelling and bruising, so it feels a little awkward every time I look in the mirror, but I can already feel that the overall line and nasal tip shape have changed. On the first day, my face was really puffy, so I was shocked, but by around day 3, the swelling started going down little by little and the contours began to show. The nasal tip area still feels heavy in particular, but the bridge area is settling naturally. I’ve been doing cold compresses consistently several times a day, and washing my face is still scary, but I’m carefully wiping with cotton swabs. Breathing is still a little stuffy, but the nasal congestion has gotten much better than at first. Most of all, before surgery I worried a lot, “Will it really be okay?” but now I’m satisfied because I feel like once the swelling goes down, a pretty finished line will show.
