The surgery took about 2 hours. I had surgery with septal cartilage binding + Surgiform~ Right after surgery- After 30 minutes, swelling and bruising started coming up like crazy.. The bruising was very severe~ My upper eyelids, dark-circle area, and even my cheeks were really dark with bruises... Half my face was bruised... On top of already having fox-like eyes... I looked like a total monster.. I saw somewhere that about 2 out of 10 people bruise severely~ I guess I was one of those 2... lol First, the most important thing!!!!!!! Cold compresses immediately after surgery!!! Cold compresses are the only thing that can lower the peak point of swelling.. If you slack off, or think you don’t have to do it regularly because it doesn’t seem like you’re swelling much, I think that’s a big mistake.. If you can lower the peak swelling point even a little with about 2 days of cold compresses, it seems like you don’t swell beyond that even after sleeping and waking up!! On day 3, cold compresses only seem to help with the morning swelling, and don’t seem to have much other effect. The first and second days seem critical!! Now, about bruising. As someone whose bruising was so severe that the manager was surprised, I still couldn’t go outside even after having the stitches removed.. I had them removed on day 4. Then I tried every possible method to get rid of the bruises.. Warm compresses, light hand massage, egg, purple paper, jjimjilbang (the clinic strongly recommended it to me^^), medicine. The most effective thing was jjimjilbang.. I think I repeated going in for 20 minutes and resting for 15 minutes about 4 times. The salt room felt like it made me sweat well and helped the swelling go down too.. It felt like the swelling and bruising were going down together. And medicine!!!!!!!!! Really highly recommended. I asked a friend to buy me some medicine to apply to bruises, but instead of something topical, they bought something to take orally - 0- But wow, it had been 2 days since my stitches were removed. I only took 3 packets a day before meals... and they almost completely disappeared.. in 2 days!! Right now, the blue bruise under my left eye has all gone, and only a little redness remains, which I think will settle down after I sleep and wake up tomorrow~^^ I don’t know if this medicine is sold at every pharmacy, but it really seems effective!! It’s Hanshin Danggwisusan, a contusion treatment~ They said it’s a type of herbal medicine^^ The ingredients are roughly herbal ingredients like angelica root, peony root, lindera root, cyperus, sappan wood, and so on~ The effects/indications are swelling and pain caused by contusions. The pharmacy strongly recommended it, saying it’s especially effective for clearing bruises~ They said it’s 5,000 won for 9 packets~ It felt too good to be the only one who benefited, so I’m posting this for you~^^ If your bruises are severe and not going away, or you need them gone quickly, using this medicine together with jjimjilbang might clear them right up~ lol It varies depending on constitution.. Some people may take the medicine and not clear bruises well, but I saw such a strong effect^^ lolol I’m the type who bruises easily and whose bruises don’t fade well, so I think that’s why I saw a lot of effect~^^ As I wrote, this got really long....;; lolol It seems other people don’t bruise much.. Just in case anyone has a constitution like mine, I’m posting this hoping it helps^^ Now I sound like a medicine salesperson.. lolol As for the residual swelling between the eyebrows, even I... have no way to deal with it lololol For this, time really seems to be the medicine...
