In fact, it's been a while since I did the clinic-hopping, and I'm already 6 days post-op, but I'm writing this for the public good! First, I wanted natural adhesion for a faster recovery, and I prepared the same basic questions that everyone else asks~ I'll ramble in the order I remember them. At first I was torn between semi-out and in-out, but I decided on in-out (in my own mind).
1. ㅍ Plastic Surgery (Dr. ㄱㅅㅇ)
The first plastic surgery clinic I visited. I had a consultation with the coordinator first, then with the surgeon. I didn't know it at the time, but after visiting other places, I realized the coordinator's consultation here was surprisingly detailed, almost like the surgeon's consultation. I wanted the doctor to recommend and draw the line for me too, but it felt more like the coordinator decided the direction and the doctor just gave a brief consultation along that direction, so I was a little confused haha + the doctor had a bit of a fishy/dead-fish vibe... Still, since it was my first clinic visit and I had no sense of self at the time, I didn't notice anything weird. I was deciding between in-out and semi-out, and ended up choosing semi-out (also the coordinator's recommendation). Natural adhesion was possible, and because it was semi-out, they said a ptosis correction would need to be done together so the line would show clearly / no need for eye-opening correction Stitches removed on day 7 / aftercare: swelling injections, laser / no anesthesiologist present / 1 year of after-service 1.09 million + VAT / deposit 10% / 100% refundable until 4 days before surgery
2. ㅇㅍ Plastic Surgery (Dr. ㅇㅈㅇ)
They took face photos. Natural adhesion possible, with upper canthoplasty + ptosis correction together (ptosis correction optional) Since I was worried about the line, they recommended in-out rather than semi-out. Stitches removed on day 7 + swelling injection / no anesthesiologist present / 1 year of after-service Natural adhesion + upper canthoplasty + ptosis correction = 1.70 million / without ptosis correction, almost 1.20? Deposit 10% / cancellation possible until 3 days before surgery, but once you book, no matter when you cancel, they refund only after deducting 10%... huh? There was a bit of pressure from the coordinator to book. The doctor was very gentle and kind and gave a good consultation, but for some reason I felt a passive vibe? and I wasn't especially drawn to it. Consultation fee: 10,000 won
3. ㅅㅋ Plastic Surgery (Dr. ㅅㅇㅅ, solo practice)
They took face photos. Natural adhesion possible, upper canthoplasty optional / I use my forehead muscles a bit, but do I really need ptosis correction? Recommended only a natural in-out look. While setting the line, they said if you make it too high, the flesh will bulge out, but well...... if you press on a bare eyelid with a toothpick, wouldn't it naturally bulge out easily anyway,,, They set it much lower than I expected, so it felt like it would become too natural, so I excluded it and didn't book. Natural adhesion + upper canthoplasty = 1.45 million / only natural adhesion = 880,000 (VAT included) Aftercare was swelling injections, and honestly after the line was set I was already out of it, so I don't remember the rest.
4. ㅈㅅㅌ Plastic Surgery (Dr. ㅇㅅㅇ)
They took face photos. Natural adhesion possible, ptosis correction recommended / the two together were 1.65 million. After a brief consultation with the coordinator, I saw the doctor. He was comfortable to talk to and seemed very confident, which I liked. He bragged that he never makes sausage-like eyes. (As it turns out, there were rumors he was pretty good at revision cases.) I said I was worried because I'd heard a lot of bad side-effect stories about ptosis correction, and he said stitched ptosis correction could absolutely not cause that because of its structure(?) Is that true? I don't know. But then he suddenly recommended under-eye fat repositioning, and said my upper eye area was hollow so maybe later, if not now, fat grafting would be good. Well... I did think about it, and honestly under-eye bags were something I was worried about, so I hesitated a little. After finishing my questions, I went back to the coordinator, and then the sales pitch ;; They kept trying to sell me double eyelid surgery + under-eye fat repositioning + front-cheek fat grafting, which felt a bit overwhelming... if not for that, it would have been fine. Natural adhesion + ptosis correction = 1.65 million, so the price was a bit steep, and under-eye fat repositioning = 1.30 million. If you add the front-cheek thing and everything else, it's almost 4 million. Anesthesia fee 110,000 separately / deposit 10%, 100% refund if canceled one week before surgery Consultation fee: 10,000 won
5. ㄷㄹㅅ Plastic Surgery (Dr. ㅎㅅㅈ)
After a very brief consultation with the coordinator, I went straight into the doctor's consultation. Natural adhesion + ptosis correction was in the 900,000 won range, but I don't remember exactly. The doctor calmly and meticulously set the line for me, but somehow it felt like he just kept setting the line well over and over... a little indifferent? Thinking about it now, maybe it was because my eyes are the kind that don't really have much wrong with them, so there wasn't much to say. 100% refund if canceled one week before surgery. The coordinator said, "No matter where you go, your eyes will turn out pretty, so feel free to get a refund haha," but that made me feel even more uneasy. I paid a 90,000? 100,000? won deposit and left. It was simple, and the doctor had a very expert vibe, so this was the place I kept considering until the end. It did have a very factory-clinic feel.
6. ㅇㄴ Plastic Surgery (Dr. ㅇㅈㅎ)
Actually I was going to make ㄷㄹㅅ my last stop, but then I found this place, and the line was so clean and exactly my taste that I booked a consultation thinking it was my real final stop. After the coordinator consultation, I saw the doctor. The coordinator explained more basic things rather than procedures. The doctor said the line was already well-defined (probably because I had been wearing double eyelid tape), so whether I wanted a natural look or something more dramatic, they could just do the line I wanted. They said my eyes had clear strengths and weaknesses, but come to think of it, they never told me the weakness, so I'm still curious. Natural adhesion was possible, and if I wanted the front part to show more, upper canthoplasty was an option, but there was no pressure, and they said to choose based on preference / no need for ptosis correction When I looked at the reviews here, 9 out of 10 people had upper canthoplasty, so I wondered whether that was what the clinic aimed for or whether it was basically required, but thankfully not, because I don't like round eyes created by upper canthoplasty... The doctor came over right after finishing surgery and seemed tired, but still gave a careful, calm consultation. It was also the only place that used two probes/chopsticks to set the line, which I liked. I didn't feel much pressure about anything else, but there was pressure to leave a review.
After going around for consultations, it just seemed like my eyes are the kind that are easy to operate on? So I just chose the place I was most drawn to and got the surgery there! For anyone still clinic-hopping, hope this helps~~
