I’m going to get my stitches removed today- 33 Full incision / Review from a scaredy-cat

Today, September 24, I’m going to get my stitches removed. I had surgery last Friday- My eyes were uneven (left eye had a double eyelid, right eye was slightly sleepy-looking) - but by evening my eyes would become really clear-looking. Because of strong recommendations from people around me and my mom’s super-speed reservation.. The moment the words double eyelid came up, we immediately set the surgery date. I booked the first place right after the consultation... hahaha I live in Incheon, and after hearing in a community that somewhere in Bucheon was good, I went there... I went half in doubt.... But I was deeply moved by the trustworthy and very kind explanations from the consultant and the doctor +_+!!! They said my eyes were on the larger side compared with the Korean standard eye- But they also said my glabella distance was quite long compared with the standard intercanthal distance (3.4): 3.8 -_ - At first I went in thinking about buried sutures with medial epicanthoplasty.. But because I have fat in my eyelids and my skin is on the thicker side... They recommended incision- Since I’m a huge complainer and a coward.. Incision made me tremble.. But they told me not to do medial epicanthoplasty- They said my intercanthal distance is quite wide, but because my horizontal eye length is long, it doesn’t look that narrow, and even if I did medial epicanthoplasty, it probably wouldn’t look very effective.. They said if buried sutures were done on my eyes, the chance of my eyelashes turning in or the line coming loose was really high, so I booked the in-between step... haha, partial incision. I thought I might have booked too hastily, so I went to two places in my neighborhood that I’d heard of. Both places said incision incision incision.. and said to do ptosis correction and medial epicanthoplasty too.. There was a bit of a money smell, and I became fully convinced about the place I first booked... The day of surgery,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I was nervous from the morning- I bathed nicely, put on body lotion so I was all soft and fresh, and went.. hahahaha It was my first surgery ever using a scalpel and needle... so I was extremely nervous. As mentioned above.. A complainer and a coward.. I can’t even ride a Viking ship ride..-_ - My hands and feet get soaked during airplane takeoff and landing..-_ - But... on the day of surgery, I had signs of a bad cold. I even had a fever the day before, so I took cold medicine until that morning and went.. The doctor said it didn’t matter.. But just in case, he recommended local anesthesia. -_ - I got completely startled and said I couldn’t do it unless it was sedation anesthesia.. I said no..-_ hahahaha In the end, we decided on sedation anesthesia- I had booked partial incision, but changed back to full incision and went into surgery.. Ah... going into the operating room.. It was really... dun-dun, scary- They put on a cap that looked like something you’d use at a bathhouse.. and inserted something into the back of my hand, saying it was an IV line- Just a sting-_ -.. I’d read on the surgery review board in this community that IV lines hurt a lot.. It just felt like getting a normal injection, nothing special-_ -;; After that the doctor came in and did the design- He told me not to roll my eyes... but when a person is nervous and because of the bright light, you end up moving even a little- I guess I rolled them a bit without realizing it.. hahaha The doctor... Ah...-_ - the design is difficult.. Don’t roll your eyes.... hahahahahahahahaha I ended up grinning without realizing it-... Checking in the mirror, sitting up and lying down repeatedly.... took 20 minutes.. just the design..... hahahahahahahaha After that, they covered my face with something.. put a cloth over me so only my face stuck out.. -_ - Then, saying anesthesia is going in, they inserted something into the IV tube-_ - .... 30 seconds later... Wow... seriously that feeling..-_ - strange and yellowish-_ - It really turned yellowish.. I fell asleep while repeating my boyfriend’s name in my head.. When I woke up, 5 minutes..; my eyes wouldn’t open well.. The doctor still hadn’t come in by then, so while I was asleep, they had done local anesthesia on my eyes- ..... It felt strange -_ - I told the nurse, I need to cough, cough cough, and despaired when I heard the surgery hadn’t started yet... After the doctor came in- he said “knife” to the nurse.. -_............. I flinched... But I felt absolutely nothing- My living skin was being cut, but I felt absolutely nothing- Then I fell asleep for a moment......... and woke up to a burning smell... They were removing fat; Really, nothing else hurt at all.. Other people said it hurt a lot when the fat was removed.. For me.. I felt no pain at all from the surgery itself-. Rather, the nurse pressed on my eyeball firmly, and my eyeball itself hurt so much- Enough that my head hurt too..-_ All kinds of songs were playing on the radio, and I was really surprised at myself tapping my fingers to the beat... hahahahahahaha The doctor was answering quizzes from the radio too, and there was talk about Seo In-young’s “Cinderella”..-_ - hahaha Then the doctor said one thing- Wow, this is seriously some major fat after a long time.. hahahaha Then zzzt zzzt zzzt zzzt////-_ - I was curious. How big was it for him to call it major..... He showed me slightly below my eyelid.. but as if I could see-_ - hahahaha Open your eyes, then sitting up and lying down again for 20 minutes..-_ -; After suturing, I looked in the mirror and it was less swollen than I expected- The right side, where the asymmetry had been severe, felt like the eyelid was a bit floating, and only the right side was very swollen... -_ -;;; The doctor said there might be a very slight tendency toward ptosis. But he said we’d have to see after the swelling goes down, and that he had adjusted for it himself- That made him seem even more trustworthy.. After that I saw the thing he called major fat. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha All I could do was laugh- Ah, that thing had been attached under my skin.. For each eye, a lump of fat the size of my thumbnail-_ - hahaha... Even now, I think it’s only natural that the doctor exclaimed it was major.. hahahaha Even to me, the line seems to have come out really pretty- The nurses, doctor, and consultant all said the line came out pretty- haha They said once the swelling goes down, it’ll become a really pretty double eyelid.. hahaha Finally, today I’m going to get the stitches removed- I’ve taken photos every day from the day of surgery until now- Seeing my eyes become clearer and the swelling go down day by day makes me feel really good- I really think I did well getting it done... hahaha After I get the stitches removed, I’ll slowly upload the photos~ Thank you for reading my clumsy and not-fun surgery review >_< A pretty face~ healthily~~~ Have a good day~^^
