Diet Review: 65.5 kg -> 54.3 kg!

Hello! I’m a bride-to-be getting married next year! The very first thing I did after deciding to get married was dieting (still ongoing) I’ll keep going until right before I walk into the venue, but I thought I’d write down my diet diary for a mid-progress check-in too:) Before starting, I was 163 cm / 65.1 kg, overweight and chubby. I had a lot of body fat and very little muscle, so I looked completely puffy Especially because I have a wave body type, I carried fat mainly in my lower body like my thighs, hips, and calves, so I felt like I had to do something, and that’s how I started dieting! I had been dieting like this all along, losing 7-8 kg and then regaining 10 kg after a rebound, but now that I’m in my 30s, the weight really doesn’t come off easily And when I lose weight, my face and upper body go first, and my lower body goes last... but when I gain weight, my lower body gains first, so I had a lot of fat concentrated in my lower body and I was really solid all over When dieting, I’d say it’s 80% diet and 20% exercise. You know diet is really important, right? Honestly, exercise is just enough if you walk for about 30 minutes after a meal or add 30 minutes of running or strength training, but for weight loss, it’s absolutely diet!!! So I went straight into dieting! That means not starving myself or eating only vegetables, but eating protein like meat and eggs, cutting my 3 meals a day down to 2 meals a day -> and now I’m gradually reducing it to 1 meal a day plus about 2 soft-boiled eggs at dinner, and I also reduced carbs a lot. I changed things gradually, because doing it all at once makes your appetite come back fast and causes rebound, but now I’ve adapted a lot, so I almost never binge like before or eat late-night snacks! With diet and 1 hour of exercise a day (running + brisk walking), I lost 5 kg in just one month! But from then on I hit a plateau and the weight really wouldn’t budge There’s a limit to how much you can reduce portions... and it was hard to keep dieting any further, so I struggled a lot! And only my upper body was getting thinner, so when I looked at my face, neck, and arms I looked slim, but my lower body was still chubby, which was really stressful, so I decided to borrow the power of modern medicine (?) lol I got a thigh fat-extraction injection, and since the fat was concentrated in my outer thigh and inner thigh, I asked them to focus on those areas The next day I had some bruising, swelling, and pain, but I’m pretty good with healing, so after about 3 weeks the bruises were almost all gone, and the pain was fine too except for a little pulling in the back of my thighs! They extracted quite a lot of fat from my thighs, so my weight also dropped quite a bit, which was so surprising and exciting!! So I worked hard on dieting again My diet was centered on salad and protein like meat, but I kept things from getting boring by switching up the protein with duck, fish, and other options!! It’s been about 2 weeks since the thigh procedure, and the lines have become so much smoother, right? When I tried on leggings, a lot of the outer-thigh riding fat was gone, and overall I looked slimmer, so from the side I could really feel that I’d lost weight!! I’m a total carb addict and really love bread, rice, and noodles, so I cut bread completely, but noodles were honestly hard to give up I tried to make pho healthier by adding lots of bean sprouts, and so on... but I couldn’t completely give up noodles, so after thinking about it.... I found soy-protein noodles. One serving of the bibim noodles is only 95 kcal, so I can eat them without worrying about calories, and I’ve been eating them whenever I want noodles, so I really want to recommend them as a diet food!! They also have other flavors like anchovy noodle soup and jajangmyeon, but the bibim noodles flavor is the best If you add sea snails, cucumber, vegetables, and so on, it tastes amazing, so if you want noodles while dieting, I highly recommend soy-protein noodles!!! Instead of running, I’ve been focusing on slow exercises like walking for over an hour! Especially when I walk after eating, my blood sugar goes down and I can shake off sleepiness, so I tried hard to keep moving after meals!! It sounds easy when I say it like this, but moving right after eating is really annoying and hard... but at some point my body felt lighter, and I liked that feeling, so after eating, I started naturally trying to walk because I didn’t like the feeling of being too full!! The size 28 pants I used to wear became so loose that I can’t wear them anymore, which really made me so happy Now I wear size 26 pants or size 24 if they run large, and it was really so hard getting to this point that I suddenly cried while putting on clothes Anyone who has dieted hard will probably understand how I feel...!! Compared with before, you can definitely feel that my thighs and lower body have become much slimmer, right? My boyfriend and people around me also noticed that I lost a lot of weight, and now I can freely wear pants, skirts, and more, so my confidence is through the roof So far, while going from 65.1 kg -> 54.3 kg and losing 10.8 kg, the most important thing was DIET!!! No matter how much I emphasize it, diet really is the truth. Since muscle loss is unavoidable while dieting, I made sure to eat a lot of protein like meat and eggs, and since I can’t completely stop eating carbs, I eat a little rice each day, and after eating, it’s also important to walk for about 20-30 minutes right away to lower blood sugar!! In my case, because I had a lot of body fat, I focused on cardio, but I think it’s also good to combine it with strength training to preserve muscle! If you do that, you’ll get slimmer overall, but when you need line refinement for your arms, abdomen, thighs, and so on, it’s okay to borrow the power of medicine too, but in the end that only works when dieting is done alongside it, so you absolutely have to do aftercare and keep dieting!! There’s a little more time left until next year’s wedding, so now I’m going to focus on shaping my lines and building overall muscle!! Then everyone, let’s diet healthily and become prettier:)
