<One week after surgery><One week after stitch removal><Day 29 after surgery><3.4 mm>Asymmetrical scars on both sides, eye stinging, eyes looking too close together, etc. It had been quite a while since I had epicanthoplasty, but I had never even thought about closing it up. When epicanthoplasty restoration surgery first came out, I avoided it because of side effects and scarring, but recently I heard restoration could be done without scarring, so I decided to get it. When I went for the consultation, the consultant assisted me, and after the consultant’s consultation, I had a consultation with the director. First of all, the consultant was very kind and thorough. (So I just booked surgery for the same day.) They asked in detail about my epicanthoplasty, double eyelid surgery, number of surgeries, allergies, medications I’m taking, etc., and recorded everything carefully. I asked about scars after surgery, and they reassured me that they were aiming for 100% scar recovery, so I didn’t need to worry. But the director said the scar step-off on the left side made it tricky, and that a scar could still remain after surgery. They also said the scar on the right side was worse. They asked how far I wanted to close it, and I said I wanted the red tissue not to show. They said if they closed it that much, I’d look like a frog They said it would look natural only if an appropriate amount was closed while still showing the lacrimal caruncle slightly. For the protruding scar(step-off) area on the left, they suggested laser treatment after surgery. (I got a little down here..) Anyway, I entrusted everything to the director’s aesthetic sense and skill. After surgery, my eyes swelled up really tightly.. The anesthesia didn’t work well on the right side, so they had to do local anesthesia several times, and it swelled up really badly. During the surgery, the director kept saying it was hard and difficult. (I kind of thought it had gone wrong) One month after surgery Almost no asymmetry on both sides The lacrimal caruncle shows just very slightly I think the redness will be covered with makeup, and there are no protruding or indented scars Eye stinging improved(not 100%, but the dull aching pain is gone) Even after removing the stitches, the director said things like they were worried because my skin scars easily, but there is almost no scarI think the director’s style is to not say good things and only talk about the worst-case situation Conclusion: very satisfied Before surgery, the distance between my eyes was 3.2 mm, and after surgery it came out exactly 3.4 mm It’s so precise that I wondered if this is even within human ability
