Eye Surgery Considerations

Community review of Private

This was the clinic I had placed as my top surgery choice after reading reviews before going for a consultation. The lines all looked exactly the same, almost copy-pasted, and personally, at the time of my consultation, the nose line I preferred was exactly that line, so I was drawn to it because the doctor seemed like someone who could consistently create that line. First of all, the doctor looked busy, but I didn't feel like the consultation was careless. It just felt like a typical rushed consultation from a famous, popular doctor? I didn't think that was particularly bad and thought it was natural, so that part was okay. But the issues I thought my nose had matched everything the other clinics pointed out, while only this doctor said a different area was the problem, so I passed For example, my nose's issue or improvement direction was the nasal tip, but he would say the bridge was the problem.. Also, he said surgery without an implant was possible, but without an implant it would be over 8 million won for a primary surgery, and if silicone was placed, it would go down to the 6 million won range. Hearing that made me lose interest completely. If silicone were necessary for my nose to become the nose I want, okay. But if it's possible without an implant, and adding silicone would make it come out a bit cleaner, yet without an implant there is no review event so it's over 8 million won, while if silicone is inserted the review event applies and it goes down to the 6 million won range? From the patient's perspective, that felt like steering me toward surgery that involves inserting silicone that I don't necessarily need, so it felt like it would shorten the doctor's surgery time and make the surgery easier, while from the patient's side I would lower the price but gain the risks of silicone, so I wasn't drawn to it. For reference, other clinics have said the same thing, but the price difference depending on whether silicone was used was not close to 2 million won. So I didn't view that negatively. I don't view silicone itself negatively. But from a patient's perspective, naturally you would prefer not to use an implant rather than use one, so it became an issue of trust in a clinic that seemed to be telling me to use an implant, and I lost interest + the direction of surgery I had in mind during the consultation was different from the direction the doctor proposed. This is my subjective consultation review, and if my nose were one that needed silicone and nasal tip elevation, and I liked that identical line from this clinic? Then I think it could be a decent clinic.
