<Before surgery><After surgery>Ever since I was young, my large cheekbones were a complex of mine, so I used to go around covering them with my hair. After becoming an adult, I learned about facial contouring injections, and after getting them for more than 6 years, I developed a side effect of abnormal uterine bleeding. I worried so much about how long I would have to keep getting these injections... Before this surgery, I even went to a hospital specializing in cheekbone liposuction, but they told me liposuction would not solve it. So I made a big decision and decided to undergo cheekbone reduction surgery. Since I live outside Seoul, I did not have much free time, so I went around for all my consultations in one day. Each hospital differed in surgical method, price, aftercare, consultation atmosphere, and consultation with the director, and the last hospital I visited, Yungwakui Jeongseok, was the one I liked the most in terms of both price and consultation. Other hospitals were busy putting down other clinics, saying their hospital was better than the others. The consultations with the directors also lasted less than 5 minutes, with no detailed explanation, and they just said what they wanted to say and left, so I lost a lot of trust. But here, they explained everything one by one in detail, including specifically how the changes would happen, so I decided on surgery right there. First of all, everyone was kind overall. They sincerely empathized with the parts I was worried and concerned about, and they calmly explained the postoperative care methods, so I felt I could trust them with my face. Honestly, up until day 10, I did not want to look in the mirror. There was a lot of swelling, and since I also had cheek liposuction, I was covered in bruises and it was hard Still, from week 2, the major swelling started to go down, and now my face has become really small. Especially my side cheekbones, which had been my complex, went in dramatically, so looking in the mirror feels good. People around me all ask if I lost weight or what procedure I had done, and even caps, which I normally did not wear much, suit me nicely now, so I am happy haha [Postoperative recovery process] Day 1 I was dizzy from the anesthesia and could not speak well. I had heard that throat pain would be severe, but my throat did not hurt that much. I had cheekbone pain, and after getting painkillers, it got a bit better. I had never had a nosebleed even once in my life, but after surgery, my nose bled, and bloody phlegm kept coming into my mouth in gulps, so it was really difficult. I had planned to take the bus home alone on the day of surgery, but I just could not bring myself to do it, so I stayed at a nearby hotel. (Hardest part: I was so hungry) Day 2 I think I barely slept through the night. I woke up every 30 minutes, and it was not pain that felt like I was dying, but it was the kind of pain that kept me from sleeping. So I got up from early dawn to take painkillers, and at 6, I had New Care, pumpkin juice, and medicine. Then my stomach suddenly started feeling extremely nauseous, and within 5 minutes, I threw up everything I had eaten. Personally, day 2 was the most painful for me Even during the day, the medicine made me nauseous, so I got a new prescription. Thankfully, the changed medication suited me well. From nighttime, my face swelled more and I started feeling heat. Day 3 I was the most swollen ever lololololol. Slight cheek hollowing was visible (something the director had mentioned in advance and said time would resolve), and the facial pain was more tolerable than I expected. The swelling was enormous, so should I say my face looked like a full moon? It was hard that I could not eat properly but still had to take medicine, so I tore castella into very tiny pieces and let it melt in my mouth. As before, being so hungry was really painful... Day 4 I was even more swollen than day 3, so I was in a seriously unattractive state... There was almost no pain, and I did not have a nosebleed, but bloody phlegm kept coming out. My face was so swollen that speaking was a little difficult. Daily life was possible, but I could not open my mouth well. (+hunger) Day 5 I was still very swollen, but after drinking pumpkin tea in the morning and taking a 30-minute walk, the swelling went down slightly. There was no major pain, and I ate soft tofu stew and porridge (just slurped the soft tofu). Day 6 I was less swollen than expected, and although there was still swelling, I could clearly feel it was less. Bloody phlegm kept coming out, and I started warm compresses. I began eating udon slowly, one strand at a time. Day 7 I ate pasta one strand at a time and had mango shaved ice for dessert. But since my eating speed was noticeably slow, I did not know whether I was full, but my stomach felt very comfortable. And I could clearly see the swelling going down. By day 7, my face shape looked a little pretty. Day 30 I am doing very well in daily life. I started brushing my teeth from day 14, so there is no uncomfortable, unclean feeling, and there is no pain. However, when I walk fast or run, the facial flesh shakes and there is pain. I can eat most foods, but I am cutting everything into very small pieces before eating. There is still a little cheek hollowing and residual swelling around the side cheekbones, but it should get better with time, right? Bloody phlegm still comes out a little from time to time, and overall, I am very satisfied with the surgery haha
