Breast Fat Grafting Review, 4 Months Post-Op

These days, every time I look in the mirror, I feel like I’m not quite the same as before. My body hasn’t changed dramatically, but something has definitely become different in a “soft and natural” way. Before, when I saw pretty clothes, I would think, “That’s nice,” but unconsciously take a step back. “Lines like that won’t suit me...” I would draw the line in my mind first. But these days, even with clothes that fit slightly tight or show some volume, my first thought is, “Should I try it on?” It feels like the standards that used to restrict me are slowly breaking down? That felt really fascinating to me. Actually, my upper body is on the thinner side, but I have an “unbalanced body type” with only my pelvis standing out, so even when people told me I looked fine externally, my heart always felt empty. Rather than wanting to become bigger, I had a strong wish that “this area could be filled in, even just a little more.” So after thinking about it for a really long time, I had fat grafting surgery. The fact that my own fat was used made me feel at ease, and the act itself of “filling” something felt like a great comfort to me. Right after surgery, I barely had any bruising, and it felt natural enough that daily life wasn’t difficult. Now it really feels like “my body,” to the point that I sometimes suddenly forget I even had surgery. My cup size didn’t go up dramatically. About half a cup? Even so, the line looks different when I wear clothes, and there are moments when I can feel a slight volume even without a bra, so my heart feels filled first. It’s really hot these days, so people wear lots of tops or sleeveless shirts, right? But in the past, my size made me feel too unconfident to wear them with just nipple patches, so I couldn’t wear them. This year, I’ve been wearing them very confidently. That turned out to be a bigger change than I expected. The fact that “how I feel about myself” has improved more than “how I look to others.” I still have a tiny bit of desire to fill it in more, but I’m fully satisfied with how it feels right now. More than any other change, my “attitude toward myself” has changed. I think that’s the greatest gift this surgery has given me.
