I went for consultations because I’m planning my first nose surgery. I’ve also gotten a lot of help from this community, so I’m posting in case it helps someone else too. I have a small nose, a slightly low nose, and a somewhat bulbous nose. The look I want is natural, with a fairly straight line, almost straight. What mattered most to me was that the starting point of the nose and the forehead area had to have a definite indent(?) in it. I absolutely, absolutely hate the so-called avatar-like nose... Even if the front view is pretty, I don’t want it If anything, I’d rather have less change and just do the tip. And I also hate a lifted nose!!
ㅅㅁㅇ Consultation fee: 10,000 KRW CT scan done They said that even if I’m not happy with the cosmetic result, they’d handle A/S for 3 years, only charging the anesthesia fee. The director seemed experienced, but... the consultation felt a bit perfunctory and they didn’t specifically explain how I would change They just said, if I decide to have surgery, they’d explain it in detail then~ Still, they were kind. They quoted 4.8 million KRW for silicone + septum cartilage + (ear cartilage if the septum cartilage is insufficient), but said they’d do it for 4.4 million KRW since I came through a referral from an acquaintance. If I paid a 10% deposit that day (nonrefundable if I cancel the surgery), they said they could lower it to 4.0 million KRW. I was tempted by the A/S period... but I didn’t feel like the director and I clicked, so I passed.
ㄷㅇㅇ (ㅣㅏㅣ) No consultation fee CT scan done Hmm... It didn’t really match the kind of nose I’m aiming for... During the consultation, the doctor explained things by drawing on the photos they had taken! I’m not looking for a high, flashy nose, but when I said I wanted a gender-neutral nose, the doctor kept recommending an extremely high nose all the way through... Even though I said I didn’t want one that high, they kept saying this was the nose the patient wanted, so I was like, uh...? I have a short face, so if my nose gets too high and long, I think my facial balance will be thrown off. And the nose line they drew already looked too avatar-like for me... When I said I didn’t want something that flashy, they said the nose line they drew was pretty, and that I should think about matching another face to this pretty nose instead (using forehead fat grafting, thread lifting, etc.), and that it would be right to get a nose that suits my current face; then the consultation ended after they said maybe a low nose would actually be easier to operate on, so think about it carefully. After that, I had a consultation with the manager, and they found and showed me photos similar to my nose properly They say no two noses are the same, but it seemed like they hadn’t organized their nose photo examples very well... With an acquaintance referral + providing before-and-after photos with the face covered, they quoted 3.18 million KRW. In addition, rhinitis coverage under insurance was possible!
ㅊㅇ (Director Cheonnnj) Consultation fee: 20,000 KRW No CT scan! The director came over, felt my nose, and then used a long cotton swab or something to check deep inside my nose to see whether I had a septum. They explained that it’s not that the nasal bridge is absent, but that the tip is spread out, making the nose look low. They said silicone can be used or not used, and asked whether a low nasal bridge was a complex for me. It wasn’t really for me so I said it would be fine to do only the tip. Then they said to think about it until surgery day, and that doing only the tip would be fine. They also explained that to avoid an avatar-like nose, the bridge has to be inserted thinly and the tip has to be done well without an implant, but the line they drew on my face photo on the pad was exactly the style I want... Before I even said it, the director presented the exact nose I was aiming for, and I liked that They quoted 4.4 million KRW, but said they’d do it for 4.0 million KRW on the condition that I post a review on ㄱㄴㅇㄴ and ㅂㅂㅌ, or provide before-and-after photos (showing only the nose) to the clinic. The review content on ㄱㄴㅇㄴ or ㅂㅂㅌ would be up to me. Rhinitis insurance coverage not available.
ㅂㄷㄴ (formerly ㅋㄴㅍ) I was told the consultation fee including CT was 10,100 KRW, but when I was about to pay, they said just go and didn’t take it!! It started with the director’s consultation without a manager consultation. First of all, they had organized before-and-after nose photos really well by category, and as they explained things, they pulled out the exact photos in a way that made everything easy to understand. It really clicked in my head. Out of all the plastic surgery consultations I’ve been to, this was the first place where I saw properly organized nose photos The director was kind and answered everything while laughing warmly whenever I asked questions. They never mentioned deposits, reviews, or anything like that at all, and they said the price was 3.3 million KRW including VAT, but they’d remove the tax and do it for 3.0 million KRW!! I liked how straightforward it was...
ㅈㅇㅋㅇ (ㅔㅣㅔㅣ) Consultation fee: 50,000 KRW...... CT included, and if I go ahead with nose surgery, they said the 50,000 KRW consultation fee would be included in the surgery price. There aren’t many reviews on this community, but a friend of a friend had nose surgery here and it came out really natural but somehow prettier, so I went. Last year, a friend of a friend even brought all their friends and everyone reportedly had successful results It was a large building, maybe 5 floors? 6 floors? Anyway, the whole building was the ㅈㅇㅋㅇ plastic surgery clinic. The counter staff member was Russian. (I’m assuming. She had the Korean flag, the Russian flag, and another flag on her chest? Anyway, someone who speaks three languages.) Looking at it, it seemed like a place that mostly handles foreigners... Since there were 5 doctors, it was awkward to ask the friend of a friend who they had used for nose surgery So I first booked a consultation by phone, and it turned out there was only one doctor doing nose surgery! The funny part is... when I called to book, they said the earliest available time was at the end of June They offered two time slots in the last week of June. I couldn’t make those, so I asked if the following week on the 00th was possible, and they said yes It just seemed like they were pretending to be busy Both the manager consultation and the doctor consultation were kind and decent, but... both of them seemed busy overall, and they didn’t show me a single before-and-after photo. After the doctor consultation, they printed out a clean breakdown of the total cost, and it came to over 5.6 million KRW including anesthesia... There was no negotiating or anything, just a fixed amount. I thought, oh, this is a place that does expensive cosmetic surgery for foreigners, and mentally crossed it off my list.
