I went to 3 places today, and the surgical methods they described were all different, so I’m mentally overwhelmed I’ll write mainly about the surgical methods Current condition) primary surgery / crooked nose / dorsal hump / nasal bridge is on the higher side 1.ㅁㅎ - ㅇㅅㅎ Board-certified plastic surgeon CT scan O / functional insurance coverage O <Crooked nose surgical method> The nasal bridge: the cartilage on the right is deviated to the left / they can’t touch the crooked nasal bridge, and they have to work on the cartilage part / left cartilage osteotomy / the deficient area beside the right cartilage would be reinforced with ear cartilage or dermis / unfortunately, my left nostril is currently smaller, and if it’s pushed to the right it’ll get even smaller, so there will be nostril asymmetry / the crookedness won’t improve 100%, think of about 60% <Dorsal hump surgical method> The nasal bridge bone is too thin, so shaving it down is not possible / only slight filing / costal cartilage for the nasal tip / my septum is currently too small / the hump also won’t be completely clean, about 80% I trust them because they honestly told me what can and can’t be done in my condition and how it would look after surgery, but nostril asymmetry... ha 2.ㅋㅂㅈ - ㅎㅅㅁ ENT specialist CT scan O / functional insurance coverage O For the crooked nose, osteotomy / here too, they said to think of the crooked nose as just being improved / dorsal hump osteotomy / the nasal tip is fairly firm, so they suggested using septal cartilage + ear cartilage But the strange thing here is that they said my septum is very small, yet suggested using septal cartilage... And when I asked whether the nostril asymmetry seemed likely to get worse, they said it would actually improve. It was so different from what ㅁㅎ said that I’m mentally overwhelmed 3. ㅁㅌ - ㅇㅎㅅ Board-certified plastic surgeon CT scan X / no mention of functional insurance coverage The crooked nose can’t be fixed 100%, only improved.. (yeah, now I’m just resigned) Dorsal hump medial osteotomy / after shaving it down, it may become blunt and a gap could form, so let’s put 2 mm silicone in the nasal bridge -> ???? I had never even considered silicone, so I was startled here For the nasal tip and deficient parts, septal cartilage + ear cartilage / if raising it this much, there should be enough septal cartilage; they’ll open it up and if it’s insufficient, use ear cartilage -> startled a second time Because on CT, the previous 2 clinics had both said my septum was small Overall) Honestly, since I already have severe facial asymmetry, I did think the crooked nose wouldn’t improve 100%, but the surgical methods at all 3 places are so different that I don’t know what’s right.... I just hope it improves naturally compared with now... Sympathy emoticon Translating Would you like to save this review? +0 More posts by 내내내내낸 Report suspected broker Block member
