I had SMILE LASIK surgery in October 2021! Because of genetics, I wore glasses since elementary school and wore contact lenses, and at the time of surgery my vision was minus!! ( - 5.50 ) I also had astigmatism. They said they could correct both my vision and astigmatism, so I went ahead right away, and after surgery it was 1.2~1.5. My eyes stung and hurt for about 8 hours, and then, really amazingly, the stinging disappeared and the world felt clearer than clear, like I had just been born!!! I heard LASEK stings for about 3 days and LASIK stings for about a day, but SMILE LASIK is definitely short. For those 8 hours, I couldn’t even sleep, and I diligently put serum drops and painkillers in my eyes every 1-2 hours. Now I do not manage them at all and look at my phone up close, so it has gone down a tiny bit, but if it gets worse later, I am 100% thinking about revision surgery!!!
