My nose: slight hump, long nose. From the front, my nostrils are barely visible 1st clinic: a clinic with 2 directors, and they use an entire building They didn’t take a CT or photos separately and went straight into the consultation I only wanted long-nose correction by raising just the nasal tip, without an implant They said we should do that, only slightly rasp the hump, and raise the nasal tip with septal cartilage They said even after surgery, they don’t put in separate nasal packing; they stop all bleeding with an endoscope, so taping alone is enough I don’t think they separately explained aftercare? 2nd clinic: here, they took both CT and photos before the consultation, and said my septal cartilage is a bit short, so they would build a columellar strut with ear cartilage and raise it. When I said the hump didn’t bother me much, they said then there’s no need to touch it, just do the nasal tip, and it would be good to slightly fill the area with a severe step-off using ear dermis When I asked whether ear cartilage tends to droop easily, they said that usually doesn’t happen, and even if it droops, it won’t droop more than my original nose Both places said they would slightly correct the bulbous nose too.. I want to choose between the two clinics, but because the surgical materials are different, I’m so torn.. Since it’s my first surgery, I don’t even know what’s right, and I kind of feel like just giving up, but I look so much older than my age Can you help me decide..
만기1004 If they’re saying to use septal cartilage without even taking a CT, that’s a bit...
만기1004 [@만기1004] But overall, the consultation felt kind of lacking in substance (e.g., saying things like they need to consider the nose length and do this or that), so I recommend looking around more!! Anyway, it’s for cosmetic purposes
부링글 [@만기1004] Hmm, right. That part bothered me the most too. How would they know how large my septal cartilage is before saying they’d use septal cartilage.. I think I was too rushed. If I’m going to do it, I have to do it within September I’ll think it over slowly again. Thank you!!
헌걸 By my standards, even for a first surgery, I think CT is essential... If you have enough time, I recommend going to more consultations. I also got a CT, checked the condition of my nose, and had a no-implant nose surgery at Louvre, so to see the exact condition of your nose, I think it’s better to look more accurately than just checking with the naked eye.
만기1004 [@부링글] In my case too, after taking CT scans, two places told me septal cartilage wouldn’t work and it absolutely had to be costal cartilage, and only one place said that since I wasn’t going to raise the nasal tip, we could just slightly adjust the septal cartilage... So make your list while keeping the possibility of costal cartilage open!! I hope it goes well
