After Surgery on the 16th...

I finally had the surgery. I won't be taking questions for the time being. I'm still watching my own progress, so I don't think I'm at the stage where I can give you all information yet. I'll try posting my progress day by day. I received a lot of help too^^ Things I considered before surgery) 1. Being able to be discharged after one day (I'm scared of things like blood drains--) 2. No pain and no scars left (because I like exercising) 3. Being able to do the massage by myself (I live outside Seoul, so I can't come many times) Day of surgery) General anesthesia, periareolar incision, 265cc cohesive gel. 156cm 48kg I went into the operating room around 10, and when I opened my eyes it was 4.. They said the doctor operated very meticulously so there would be no bleeding.... They said that way capsular contracture is less likely to occur. After surgery, my friend came around 7, I was discharged, and we watched the late-night movie "Speed Scandal" at a nearby CGV theater... I was a little dizzy because of the general anesthesia, but I tried to walk around instead of lying down if possible... I was wrapped tightly in bandages, but it wasn't uncomfortable. The day after surgery) They removed the bandages, applied waterproof tape, and I got antibiotics and an injection to reduce swelling.. Then I took the bus to Busan... After getting home, I had to look after the kids and also tried not to get caught by my family, so I barely managed to apply compresses.... When I took a quick look in the evening, there was a slight bruise under the breasts. Day 2 after surgery) Since cold compresses are done over the compression bra, I thought it would be better to just go hiking, so I went for a light hike... I wore one of my husband's shirts and left the chest area of my down parka open.^^; There wasn't much bruising... Still, whenever I had a chance, I kept putting the pack under my breasts. Day 3 after surgery) I went to work... I was busy all day. My breasts felt like they were getting a bit hard. The left side seemed a little bigger than the right, so I currently have four stick-on warm packs for clothing (day-long warm packs) plastered on. They're nice and warm. I heard you can get burned if they're too hot, so I'm satisfied with this much. The doctor says it's good to do it for about a month. ------------ What I felt after surgery) 1. I think breast surgery is better in winter. Cold compresses happen naturally, warm compresses feel natural too.. You can cover up with clothes... Not being able to bathe isn't that disappointing either.^^; 2. I think a periareolar incision is good...(Of course, the scar shouldn't be visible.) I'm walking around very well after surgery.. Actually, I think permanent makeup was harder. ------------- Things to be careful about afterward) It would have to be massage, right? Since capsular contracture can start around 3 weeks, they say I need to massage diligently whenever I have time.... They say it's not very difficult, but since I haven't done it yet, it's hard to say. I'll try it and post another review. Question 1 for everyone) The warm packs that stick onto clothes become hard later. Is that okay? I'm worried whether that interferes with creating the breast pocket. I'm worried it might cause the same kind of side effect as wearing a wire bra. Question 2 for everyone) Some people say massaging with something like a graduation album is good. Is there a good method I can do by myself? -----I'm going up to Seoul again at the one-week mark. I'll be able to see the wounds then while getting the stitches removed. -----If I have time, I'll try posting photos too. ^^
