Liposuction Reviews

Review 1 month after double-chin liposuction + muscle tying

It’s been a little over a month since I had double-chin liposuction + muscle tying! ShinSang Plastic Surgery is well known for double-chin liposuction, and since I tend to have a lot of deep fat, I searched mainly for hospitals that definitely remove deep fat, and ended up narrowing it down to ShinSang. My left salivary gland is a little enlarged, but they said removal wasn’t necessary and that Botox would likely be enough, so I got salivary gland Botox as well. After the surgery, days 3-4 were the most uncomfortable, and after getting the stitches removed, you start getting more used to it! It’s now been a little over a month, and as scar tissue/fibrosis forms, it’s bumpy, uneven, and hard The area under my chin is tightly attached, but from under the ears to the salivary gland area is swollen, so my face shape looks a bit square and strange.... They said it takes 3 months, or as long as 6 months, so for now I’m trying not to worry too much and to keep wearing the compression band and massaging whenever I can! With muscle tying, the scar is naturally the biggest concern, and mine is about 2 cm and looks quite dark right now. Still, it’s under the chin, so other people don’t really notice it, only I do!! I’m currently managing it with scar ointment, and since scars need consistent care for at least 6 months to over a year, I’m just hoping I don’t develop a keloid! My face is on the smaller side, but my chin is short, so my double chin kept getting worse day by day, with only the fat under my chin increasing.. So after getting liposuction, my satisfaction is definitely high! To add hospital information, I had mine done by Director Kim Jaehee, because the head director was more expensive. There are also quite a lot of reviews for other doctors like Director Lee Ilseok and Director Kim Suhwan, so I think they may be similar. They consulted well while checking with ultrasound, and the surgery seems to have gone well, but what was disappointing is that they had said I would also see the doctor when I came in for my 1-month follow-up. But both when I went to get the stitches removed and when I went for the 1-month follow-up, they said there was nothing particularly wrong, and I didn’t see the doctor; just a nurse? checked me and that was it. Personally, I was a bit disappointed because it felt different after the surgery, but still, all the nurses who checked on me were kind and attentive.

This review is for a surgery review pursuing a natural look.
