It was my first nose surgery and the last hospital consultation I had. I already knew my skin was thick, had heard it a lot, and kept hearing it every time I went for consultations. Because I had a bulbous nose, it seemed like I needed a strong supporting pillar, so every hospital recommended donated rib cartilage. I didn’t know much about donated rib cartilage and had never really thought about it, but after talking with the manager, it didn’t seem that bad, and thinking ahead, it seemed okay to firmly support things from the first surgery rather than having them sag later. The manager explained things well. The director felt very professional. He mentioned the asymmetry and explained how he would lift it and how he would raise the tip of the nose, then asked if I had any questions and left. Then I talked with the manager again, and it didn’t seem bad, and I was lucky enough to be able to do it for cheaper than the hospital I had consulted before (with donated rib cartilage included). So I just paid the deposit right away and had the surgery the following month. Bridge + tip
