For those curious about removing only a nasal bridge implant (Gore-Tex)...

I have experience removing only the nasal bridge implant while leaving the nasal tip alone.. They say it is rare, but some people do develop contracture. And they say people with inflammation have a higher chance of that. For me, the Gore-Tex was too high and looked strange, so I had it removed 2 months after surgery. I'll explain in detail. The total time is about 30 minutes. The doctor said silicone can be removed in 5 minutes. First, they give you sedation anesthesia. But unlike surgery, where the anesthesia lasts somewhat, you are only asleep during the local anesthesia and wake up quickly. You can feel everything, like the Gore-Tex being forcibly crushed and pulled out from the nose.. At that moment I screamed and held the nurse's hand while trembling. You can feel and hear the suction device sucking up the blood, as if blood is flowing. Then they stitch it up.. the nostril area. And that's the end... Right afterward, it feels quite painful, and the sensation of forcibly peeling off Gore-Tex that is stuck to the tissue feels really unpleasant. It was done by a closed approach, cutting inside one nostril. As for the result, the artificial, high-looking nose returns naturally, but once the swelling goes down, the connection with the nasal tip looks unnatural. To put it nicely, it feels like a very pronounced upturned-line nose with the connection cut off. The swelling mostly goes down within 1 week, and by around 2 weeks it is completely gone.. Even after about 5 days, it doesn't look that strange or anything. The tape was removed after about 3-4 days. For about 1-4 days after removal, the shape is similar to before removal.. For reference, I once had local anesthesia in my nose before, and getting those 4 shots was much more painful than the removal surgery. So if you did not have much pain during local anesthesia, the removal surgery probably will not hurt much.
