After having several surgeries, I realized that having surgery absolutely does not mean it will go 100% well or make you prettier. Everything in my life has stopped. For months, I have been stressed every day because of my face, unable to meet people or have a social life.. I feel like my depression has gone past its limit. After surgery, I feel like my personality has strangely changed too, and every night I lie down before sleeping wishing this were all a dream.. After surgery I suffer from nightmares, and even when I sleep it does not feel like sleep.. I know the biggest fault is mine for trusting only what the doctor said word for word and getting on the operating table, but honestly the emotional wound is really deep. I am now scared of having revision surgery too. There is no guarantee it will go 100% well, and although not all doctors are like that, I have lost trust. Living like this is too hard, and I truly do not want to get back on the operating table either. I want to pull myself together, forget it, and live, but in this state where everything has become a mess, I do not know what to do, so I am posting because I feel frustrated. I found out about this community after my surgery failed, and if I had known about it earlier, I would not have thought so lightly about revision rhinoplasty.. When I think about paying money to ruin my face just to make the shape prettier, I think dozens of times a day that I want to die. It seems many people here are also struggling because of side effects after surgery.. As someone in the same position, I hope things improve for you going forward..
