It has been 6 days since surgery. Everyone else seems to be getting their original face back, but I still look like an Avatar. The swelling in my face is still there too. The hospital said that if I do cold compresses for too long, the swelling won’t go down more, so since the swelling around my eyes has gone down and I have bruising, I tried warm compresses to at least get rid of the bruises, but it seems like the swelling gets worse. Both cheeks feel really tight. Should I be doing warm compresses or cold compresses? Even when I’m just sitting still, tears come out for no reason, you know. I’m really upset. My forehead and the area between my eyebrows are almost in a straight line, so I’m really upset, and this swelling that really won’t go down!!!! Please give me just one word of advice. I’m begging you. Oh, and right after surgery I looked in the mirror, and the area between my eyebrows was high. Then does that mean it’s not swelling???? I can’t focus on anything. Please at least say something comforting^^
