To those preparing for cosmetic surgery, and to those already considering removal…

Hello? I usually write through replies, but there are many people who seem to be curious, so I'm writing this post. I wrote a post after removal before, but I deleted it because it felt like unnecessary meddling. Still, I received more direct messages than I expected, so I'm leaving this here in case it helps anyone. I had surgery in November last year I was unhappy with it, and above all I was stressed by the implant, so I had it removed at the 3-month mark. I had it removed in early March, and since it is now the end of May, it has been a little under 3 months since removal. The surgery I had was truly a major operation. Osteotomy, silicone implant, septal support, cartilage suture, what else was there.. anyway, it was a full combined set For the first month afterward, I waited because swelling needed to go down, but once a month had passed and even after two months, it was pretty much the same. And then I kept getting more and more anxious because of the implant More than anything, I sleep kind of rough, but I had to sleep on my back every time, so it bothered me, and if anyone tried to touch my nose I would avoid it and couldn't even meet people's eyes.. anyway, it was mentally so hard that after worrying for another month, I finally had everything neatly removed at the 3-month mark. When I first told the hospital I wanted removal, the doctor scared me by saying that if I removed it, the nose would collapse and rise up. I think he said that because he thought my request to remove it was just a temporary thought. But after bringing it up several times, getting a CT scan at another hospital, and even going for direct consultations with doctors who had a lot of removal experience, I made up my mind to remove it and said so again. They readily agreed to remove it, but said the tip could become blunt, and had me sign a statement saying I would not object to any shape changes afterward before removing it. My nose was already an ugly nose to begin with, so I figured shape didn't matter anymore, and signed the statement and had it removed. The surgery itself was open, but the removal was closed and I think it took about 20 or 30 minutes? Even while I was having it done, I kept repeating to the doctor: please remove everything, don't leave anything behind. After removal, there wasn't much swelling and there was almost no bruising. For the first month after removal, I was very tense and scared because contracture could happen. It's not that contracture definitely won't happen, it can happen.. so I used compresses, especially took the anti-contracture medication carefully (I took that medicine for about 2 months), took supplements, and did massage. It's been a little under 3 months since removal now, and I'm satisfied with how it is. However, there is a little scar tissue at the tip of my nose, and if only that disappears it would be perfect. Scar tissue is a matter of time, so I just hope time passes quickly. I'm still massaging it from time to time. To those thinking about nose surgery, If your nose is not so ugly that you feel like you could die, or unless it has been deformed by another injury and really needs correction, please avoid it if possible. Of course it's nice if you become prettier, but the moment you put in an implant, it's like living with a time bomb. Worrying about inflammation that could come at any time, whether someone might hit your nose and tilt the silicone, and so on.. Of course there are people who live well without inflammation. But inflammation does not pick and choose. It could happen to me. And if by chance you end up unhappy with the surgery.. especially in my case, it can bring on depression and so much stress that you can't even do your work properly. Because you're unhappy with the surgery, you can't even meet people, so naturally you stay home every day, and then you gain weight... it's just hell, plain and simple. And to those who are considering removal, When I look at the people here who had removal and wrote posts, most of them stop posting reviews after a certain point, right? I think that's probably because they got better. If there is a problem with the nose or you're unhappy with it, you keep coming back to this community often.. If there isn't a problem or you stop caring, there is no reason to come in here anymore. These days I come in to answer direct messages... Anyway, even if you remove it, it is very rare to get severe collapse or contracture like Solbi. However, before removing it, make sure to have enough consultation with the doctor who performed your surgery. I also went through a lot, and when I think about it now, those times really were a nightmare. If I had spent that surgery money, I would have gone traveling or gotten skin care instead. But I did learn the expensive lesson that natural is best, so I guess that balances out.
