I had high myopia, about -8.5 Thankfully my cornea was thick, so I was able to have the surgery!!! At first, I had a consultation for SMILE LASIK, but since I had high myopia and they said it would be better to do it more precisely with newer equipment, I thought about it and went ahead with SMILE LASIK Pro ̑̈ The price was 1 million won more expensive At first and even now, I’m getting 0.7 and 0.8, and I think I have a bit of astigmatism, but when they checked it with the machine, I guess it wasn’t enough to be uncomfortable? But I’m uncomfortable ̑̈ Among people around me who had surgery here, there was also someone who got 1.5!! Oh, and for reference, you can’t necessarily say eyesight is good just because the number is high!! Visual acuity is higher the farther you can see, but being able to see up close is just as important!! When you get old, presbyopia comes, right?? The reason people wear reading glasses is because their ability to see up close decreases, and if you see far really well, you might not be able to see close when you get older, so I’m satisfied with around 0.7 and 0.8!! A low number doesn’t mean it’s bad. If anything, thinking about old age, I think it’s a good number haha As for the surgery process, when I had my left eye done first, I had prepared myself mentally and looked hard at the green light and everything, but when they did the other eye, I wasn’t mentally ready Without even saying they were going to do the other side, the machine suddenly came down and held my eye Then the laser was applied and the surgery was done I seriously worried the surgery was going wrong Overall, anyway, it wasn’t bad.. Since a lot of people around me had it done at that hospital, I half recommend and half don’t recommend it..! ps. This might just be because I’m sensitive, but one person at the front desk was so unfriendly..? Should I say they had no manners.. I’m from outside the region, so I was in a situation where I had to decide the date while checking plane tickets, and they asked me for the next appointment date? But that day was the day I had a retinal exam after dilation. When you get dilation, you can’t see up close, to the point that I couldn’t even look at my phone So I explained the situation, and they just said, “So when should I schedule you?”;;; So I said, then please schedule me for any date that fits the interval. They had always suggested dates each time before. But the answer was like, “No, you’re the patient coming in, so you need to choose,”????;;;; I mean, how am I supposed to say what date to schedule when I can’t even see the calendar right then.. So I roughly said Tuesday because plane tickets are cheap that day. That was the worst part ¯ࡇ¯ It’s now been over another year, and life without lenses is really nice. There is glare and dryness, but still, it’s so nice. My eyes feel like I’m just wearing contact lenses all day? haha I hope this was helpful!!! Thanks for reading
