Clinic A Osteotomy for the width spreading sideways They said my face does not suit a nose that is too large and high. Planning to make it natural Slightly shave down the hump; above the hump, slightly add crushed septal cartilage, and below the hump, build up the nasal tip with ear cartilage and insert it, then make and insert a support strut with septal cartilage. They said that for the nasal bridge area above the hump, adding crushed septal cartilage would make the line smoother, but it is not absolutely necessary. Because my nose can easily look pinched if done wrong, it should not be raised excessively. Surgery on the date I want may be difficult. I do not think the difference will be huge, and it seems like it would naturally improve the dragon-nose look and the hump + saddle-nose-like feeling. Materials: ear cartilage, septal cartilage Aftercare: I need to visit about 3 times first. Clinic B The doctor was full of confidence that they would make it look pretty, but they spoke so well that it was a bit scary(?) But they said silicone and autologous costal cartilage would be needed. (I was originally thinking of no implant.) For a natural line and to lift the nasal tip (they said silicone would be placed shallowly on the bridge, about 2-2.5 mm). The septum is very deviated (the left nostril is almost blocked). They said my skin thickness/soft tissue condition is just right. Materials: they said they would not use ear cartilage, and would use septal cartilage, silicone, and autologous costal cartilage. They said the biggest issues with my nose are drooping and looking deviated, so if they make it too high, the deviation will be emphasized, so they will raise it moderately. It looks like they plan to raise the bridge slightly and the tip more clearly. They said if it were their own nose, they would not worry about anything else at all, but would only worry about the drooping, so to get it done once and finish it, they told me to just use autologous costal cartilage, and said ear cartilage hurts more than autologous costal cartilage. Aftercare: they said 2 visits after surgery, and laser would be included as a service. (I think I need to ask about filler, whether they dissolve it or not.. they did not really say anything.) They use autologous costal cartilage + septal cartilage + silicone, but the price came out to 4.65 million won. Reviews said the price was high, but I was surprised it was cheaper than no implant.. (Of course it is a discounted price, and if I do not write reviews and do none of the conditions, they did quote the original price as 8.8 million won.) Clinic C First of all, the doctor was totally cool and straightforward. They clearly told me what was not possible, but said people with humps tend to have high satisfaction, and at the end said, “I’ll make it pretty for you~” I did not really feel they were unfriendly. But first, the dragon-nose improvement is not possible. Deviation correction is not possible. If the hump is shaved and the nose is raised, the dragon-nose look can become more noticeable. The deviation could also become more visible, but because the asymmetry is severe, they said they would try to push it slightly and correct it as much as possible. (But they said if they open it during surgery and it seems like it will not work, they will not do it.) They described a very natural degree of improvement: correcting the hump and slightly lifting the nasal tip to make it smoother. They did virtual surgery with Photoshop. When I asked if my nose needed autologous costal cartilage and silicone, they strongly opposed it and said absolutely not, though I think that may be because they pursue a natural result. For materials, they try to use only septal cartilage if possible, but said they would use ear cartilage if it is insufficient. What is certain is that they prioritize function, so there probably will not be side effects.
