It wasn’t that they were unkind, but they weren’t very kind either.. It just felt like they had only the bare minimum courtesy people have when dealing with others. Kindness doesn’t determine the surgical result, so that part is fine, but the consultation expertise was very low. For my condition, they basically just glanced at me, and that was it, and they were also casual about the surgery I wanted and the surgery I needed. There wasn’t enough explanation that made sense. There was also no explanation of the surgical process. It was like, if you want to do it, do it; if not, don’t. When I asked about surgical side effects, the attitude was like, “I’ve never had that happen, but since you’re asking, I’ll answer.” But it was a side effect I asked about after seeing surgery reviews for this clinic, so internally I was like, huh..? Still, I had looked at the reviews and gone there having already decided I should book this clinic, but after the consultation I actually became more conflicted.. The fixed pricing system is good. It means I don’t have to get into a subtle power struggle with the consultant for no reason.
