Hello. A little while ago I posted photos saying I had my nose implants removed. I naturally thought the silicone + ear cartilage + support strut had been removed... Someone on my post asked whether the support strut might be septal cartilage, so I wanted to check accurately before answering. I asked on the removal clinic’s website, “I heard that the support strut was made of cartilage at the time of surgery. Is that correct?” They said the support strut was not removed ㅡㅡ;;; I was dumbfounded... For now, I’ve left another post on their website... I can’t believe they didn’t remove it on their own decision... They clearly said during the consultation that everything could be removed... For now, I’ll listen to what the director says when he calls me, and then I’ll post again...
If it doesn’t cause problems like inflammation the way silicone or ear cartilage can, I don’t really mind just leaving it alone. But a big reason I removed the implants was psychological, so hearing that there’s still something inside my nose makes me feel really uneasy... The columella area was soft and squishy too (it wasn’t hard before surgery either), so I thought it had been removed well... Sigh...
Has anyone had removal while leaving only the support strut in place? I searched posts but couldn’t really find any... Today is day 8... so I’m also wondering if that’s why my nose hasn’t lifted yet They say even removing only silicone can make the nose lift slightly in the early stage... They usually say it happens around 1 to 2 weeks... maybe it’s because it’s only been 8 days... Ah, I’m thinking all sorts of things by myself... I went through the removal surgery with difficulty, so hearing that the support strut is still there is honestly upsetting. And people asked me to tell them the clinic, so I sent private messages I feel even more sorry.....
Everyone if there’s no issue with the shape, should I just live with it? Or is it right to have it removed... Could the support strut they left behind cause inflammation later....... Even if I ask a plastic surgery clinic, of course they’ll probably all say the same thing, that it’s safe... I don’t think they’d really know well either... What do you all think? I have nowhere to ask, and this community is the only place that comes to mind
