After learning through a community that removal is not easy either, I thought about it for a long time and went to the hospital where I had the surgery for a consultation. They said side effects are unlikely, so I should feel reassured, but I still can’t help feeling anxious.. I could be included in that small probability. They say the foreign-body sensation will become familiar once I adapt, but I really don’t think I can get used to it. I want to take everything out right away, but the reasons I hesitate are probably the recovery process after removal and how my nose shape will change. Reading many people’s reviews in this community made removal feel heavier, and because my current nose shape isn’t bad, it’s hard to give up. If I remove it and then want surgery again later (so, only if), then there won’t be any cartilage left to use again For now, I decided to think about it more and then set a date, but I’m so conflicted... I should have just not done it and spared myself the worry.
